I wish there was a demo. I'm very much unsure of the game at this point.

Let me know if there are any impressions you're looking for. I'm having a pretty good time with the game - I know it's not the same as a demo but if there's anything in particular you might want to know feel free to ping me.

Yes, I enjoy blabbing about games here on the internet far too much - sue me ;)
LOL so I guess I'm the only one who was looking forward to this one ;)

I'm... not a huge fan of the control changes in the latest update. So much so that I "rolled back" to my original installer.

Something about the new changes made it feel a bit faster, "floaty" and more "twitchy" to use a few nebulous words. Took away from the feeling of slow, deliberate exploration in a claustrophobic underwater environment. Some people might like the change in camera controls (and unlinking them from directional movement) but I found it made the game feel a bit more arcade-like and in a bad way.

Here's hoping they release another patch that offers a "classic" control scheme and camera positioning options. I mucked about a bit with the settings in the newest version and couldn't get them back to where they were previously.

So, here's hoping I don't encounter any bugs that need the newest version. The other shame is I mentioned the interface feeling a bit clunky and cumbersome in the 2D portion of the game (when using my gamepad) - the new version totally cleaned it up. Shopping was as easy as it should be and moving about the interior of subs and towns was fixed. So going back to the less refined input was a bit of a let down.

Honestly, its the 2D portion of the game is the part that I'd really like to know about.

The 2D portion is actually fairly minor. You can "enter" your ship, switching to 2D mode and you get a "cutaway" view of your sub. Here you assign crew to their stations and talk to your main officers.

You also enter 2D automatically when you dock with things. Again, you get a similar cutaway (anyone who loves and grew up with / has had their kids grow up with Richard Scary will know what I'm talking about - God I love/d those books ;) ).

In this view, you scroll around the screen and talk with people, shop and also "loot" any chests or other hidden objects. Like I mentioned before, in the most recent update it's a pretty smooth experience and the transition is immediate.

You dock often, and loot frequently so the 2D comes up a bit but it's not like 2D dominates the gameplay - it's more like a minigame / expanded looting / town visiting interface.

Thank you! I hope that control scheme switch you mentioned before makes it in by the time I take a crack at it. I don't know when that will happen, but having the precise controls sounds quite a bit better. :)
There are 4 DLCs listed as updated for Diluvion in the update thread that I do not have despite having the Fleet Edition pre-ordered. The DLCs are not listed as available for purchase either.
They are: Clarity's Call, Noble Folly, Redeye's Revenge, Spiny Death

Anyone knows what are these and where do they come from...?

I believe those are the Kickstarter exclusive DLC. I know for certain that Noble Folly is a Kickstarter exclusive sub.

For all Gamers that want to buy and play this "freaking beautiful and cool" "game", I want to say - run, run as fast as you can to the opposite side to this piece of crap!!! I never ever have seen before such disgusting piece of crap-code! [redacted] Why I writed all those words about this "masterpiece",- because of it I have lose more than 5 hours of my life playing it. I made a lot of ingame progress but after that all saves were corrupted, none of them could be loaded
(ノಥ益ಥ)ノ , none of them, Carl. All progress were flushed down the toilet! After this has happened I started to search how I can repair saves, but have found only that - this is common problem for this "game" and many gamers faced it sooner or later!
In conclusion if you don't want rage quit after hours and hours of gaming, don't buy it, and you'll be happy Gamer!
Devs of this piece of sh*t, you need to face horror in all it's true form!

[modded: please refrain from spamming multiple threads with the same message, necroing old threads and, most importantly, promoting piracy - ponczo_]

I'm so glad you went out of your way to find a thread from 2017 to lodge your complaint, instead of filing a ticket with support or you know, finding the game subforum to vent into.

It's not just one. There are another 3 on the previous page. :P
But joking aside, I understand the frustration of losing game saves. That's why for any game that uses a single slot autosave system, or are susceptible to corrupting the save files, I use DSynchronize, a small, but very useful and powerful backup/synchronization program, set to do backups every 10 minutes or so, while I play that game.
