Sachys: Like Breitbart.

Its a far right rag with zero reporting accredibility, accountability or any vague notion of truth.
You're wrong about that. the reason why you say that is because the media told you that its a "far right" website. Dont listen to those people. They are lying to you. Try watching this. and do not just say that "he is a right winger". Give this guy a chance.

Please wake up.

Edit: ontopic the game looks good, but a little high in reqs for me to play yet.

and Id say you're wrong. And you have no right to tell me that breitbart is a white supremacist site. That is a farce and offensive, and you just alienated Me and million others that read the site. They have the most diverse group of people working there and they certainly support israel. Stop watching CNN! I take it you are a labor party supporter. Do you want a society where people eat babies to save the planet? I bet you do. You are hopeless and poisoned by lies. May god open your eyes.

and I had to do some digging to find the article again^^

I do not argue that we need to find a more environmentally friendly way for humanity , but we all should keep a vigilant eye on what is being implemented.

Huh?
game looks amazing, ive recently played a series of space games and while fun they were all disaster based, survival, horror. i would dearly love an upbeat sci fi space game for once. ive wishlisted this one and will wait on reviews on game mechanics, death mechanics etc.

Anothername: SciFi presenting a united earth and warning about humans killing themselves because greed reflected i.e. in climate change is probably as old as SciFi itself. Don't blame the SciFi that the world started to catch up on the killing part...
Dude has a point about genre history--nonsensical social utopianism is expressly the reason that I've never cared for the 50+ year old Star Trek franchise. Perhaps someday someone will do a wickedly sharp satire about the real reasons all those disposable guys seem so eager to die in the name of tactically questionable glory seekers.

Anyway, doesn't sounds like my kind of game for a lot of reasons so whatever.

Alexim: Global warming, overpopulation and scarcity of resources have been science fiction topics since it existed, what does politics have to do with it? Apart from the fact that everything about humanity is ultimately political, but I don't see anything outrageous in these arguments.

If it has a good plot and gameplay this game will surely be very interesting.
avatar
zgrillo2004: its because of the current events that politicians like AOC keep ramming on our throats. Climate change is real but what they are talking about is manmade. they think we are killing the planet. I might try it later
avatar
Zoidberg: Uh, I may be missing something but this was sarcastic, yes?
avatar
zgrillo2004: no. Im dead serious. maybe you forgot blizzard adding all of their characters gay or transgender people and never made a straight man. or the fact that UWE, the guys that made subnautica didnt implement weapons because they said that because of the Sandy Hook shooting, they dont want to add weapons. Politics and games do not mix well and alienates the other half of the customers' beliefs.
Can you explain to us how non-existing characters's sexuality is alienating to you?

DarksideBD: You're entitled to your opinion, I'm entitled to mine.
It is you who are stating your opinion, Faroot put down facts for you, that's the difference between both your "views".

Respect to you (but not your opinion or how you argument).

As of right now, it is easy to summarize: NOTHING is done.

Maybe you're not a fan of the genre gameplay wise but as for me I really liked Tacoma. It's more of an exploratory "walking simulator" but I found it quite "upbeat" in its treatment of people relationships and scifi stuff.

Mmh, apparently, this game is early access as the final part is not yet released, wishlisted for now but I guess I'll wait until it's fully released.

edit: whoops, my info has been incomplete on this, this is the full release, with the last part included, my bad. Can anyone tell me if the controls are fully rebindable? I don't want to get bummed like for Observation, which was halfassed in that regard, forcing me to play with a gamepad.

I also found the political agenda in the description of the game a bit off-putting. I hope it has no implications for the gameplay. Somehow older games like Outpost stayed more neutral.

i did enjoy that alot, it was very immersive. recently played observation which had stunning graphics and the feel of space, however some game mechanics were just too annoying. wish they would incorporate those graphics in a fun story about exploration, survival in space and crew dynamics.. with nary a raider in sight, or zombie. or rotting goo... :P

I really prefered their previous game (Observation's devs), whose title I forgot again. :P

Very well done, very compact and not too long!
