Can y'all dig it?

Craft the World – Dig With Friends, a multiplayer-filled take on the sandbox strategy game, is available now DRM-free on GOG.com with GOG Galaxy support for achievements and multiplayer.

This week, get the DLC at a 40% launch discount, also pick up the base game at 50% off.

You've played Craft the World. You have mined and exploited the surface and its depths, overcoming nature's malice and hostile creatures. But have you ever done it with your friends?
Dig With Friends is a multiplayer take on the expansive and freeform gameplay of Craft The World – featuring two multiplayer modes: Survival Mode, where you stand your ground with up to 5 brothers in arms; and Creative Mode – where you can focus on your craft without pesky monsters or distractions, that is until you invite them over to test your mettle.

The launch discounts will last for one week, until April 21, 1PM UTC.

Note: This DLC features multiplayer content only. An internet connection and GOG Galaxy are required to access multiplayer content in Craft the World.
Hmm. Only 50% off discount for the base game ?
I already sunk unhealthy amount of time into this game, but I'm not sure about getting this update. All of my play time was in single player. Even the supposedly multiplayer content in base game can be played alone, when it won't find a partner (as usual, I only had someone connect to my game for a few minutes, ONCE) it will allow me to explore biomes on my own. Screenshots look like I can just password protect my game and/or set max players to 1 and continue business as usual. It could make nice sandbox to test few things I wanted to but never got around to it. And $3.59 is not that much, I already have more hours in this than in witcher 3. Decisions...

Love this game but I don't have any friends so I'm going to have to pass. XD
I thought this had been released over a month ago.
But I don't have the base game so not that interesting for me.

The base game is amazing. Hard but amazing.
Eh, I'll make friends eventually. I'll go ahead and get this.

Can anyone confirm that it can be played with one player, even if it is nominally "multiplayer only"? Some of the new features look nice (renewable resource veins!), but I play computer games to get away from other people :)

I can. Both setting players to 1 and passwording a game is possible.
Renewable veins work, but they can drain after a while and need some time to renew.
I have yet to find the spawn cubes in "normal sandbox" game. I had them in infinite resource sandbox, maybe I need to discover them underground. Or win them from the beholder room I found.

Thanks! Bought :)
Will it connect to friends on Steam?
Question : Does the base game have a creative mode ( no monsters / enemies ) ?

Not totally... when you create a custom world, you must choose the "very easy" difficulty, and you shouldn't have any horde (see here), which is the main source of ennemies.
I just tried to launch a custom game in very easy to complete a bit my answer: may be there still will be some occasional enemies because there are still graves, but it's really easy to get rid off popping enemies coming out from them, and you simply have to destroy the graves to prevent new enemies to arrive.
And there are chances that some enemies are lurking in the deepness ;)
I hope this helps :)
