Kinda like FTL meets Mad Max.

Convoy, a tactical roguelite inspired by Mad Max and FTL, is available now for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 10% launch discount!

Heavily armored vehicles, big bad guns, endless desert scapes. And it just so happens we're in the mood for that maximum madness kind of thing. Convoy is a squad-based tactical survival game with a focus on random encounters and tough choices. Your spaceship is damaged, a barren excess begs to be explored, but it's anyone's guess just what you'll find out there as you scavenge for those last few bits of hardware. You'll hang by a thread in high-speed tactical car chases while commanding a squad that's truly yours. Best of all, when you die - you die. The wasteland does not forgive.

The wasteland is far from silent. You can also take the sounds with you, whenever you go for a ride with the Original Soundtrack.

Become a fuel-injected suicide machine in Convoy, available today, DRM-free on GOG.com! The launch discount will last for one week, until Tuesday, June 2, at 9:59 AM GMT.
nice, this was on my Steam wishlist...can grab it here instead!!
Has there been much content added since it's original release? TB's only main gripe in his WTF was that there wasn't enough so very soon you'd keep running into the same missions/scenarios over and over again.
Interesting game. Directly thought about Autoduel, but as I never played that one I really don't know how similar they are.

For some reason this one reminds me of my favourite game as a kid, Steve Jacksons Car Wars. After playing FTL and Sword of the Stars The Pit recently i thought how awesome a roguelike set in the Car Wars universe would be...a point to point road trip...where finishing would allow the building of a more expensive car to take on the next level sort of thing. Turn based of course.

But until someone makes the that one i may actually see what this is like instead.

Edit: i just remembered there was even a module for Car wars that was called Convoy, that prob why this game reminded me of it.

I thought the same (although I think this one plays different). I loved autoduel, but it was very hard for me...never got very far in it before getting stuck.

Not very if I recall correctly, that was more of a classical RPG but with a car.
This is (I think) a roguelite like FTL which is more like a game with RPG elements than an RPG.
Wow, your kidding. Awesome.

Convoy that's a good movie, shown many times on the tv in the past, i think i have the dvd (cant find it, but i know i have it)

Many steam users compare the game to FTL, but differnt.

I saw the tracks: only 17 and in OGG (lossy format)

€8.99 -10% = €8.09

Description
About: Includes the following tracks in OGG format:

01 - Colonya
02 - Thunder Road
03 - Mercury 0451
04 - C.R.O.S.
05 - T.O.R.V.A.K.
06 - Afterburner
07 - T.A.U.N.T.
08 - The Keeper
09 - 0-303 C.C.
10 - Zero Intro
11 - Omek Prime
12 - Bobcat
13 - Armadillo
14 - Sidewinder
15 - Gila
16 - M.C.V.
17 - Insert Coin to Continue

i am curious how many people will buy these tracks, many thought the 7 euro and some cents for 32 flac and also in mp3 320kbps and more, (for techno babylon) was a bit high.

if i compare those to only 17 tracks in OGG at a higher list price for convoy game, then basically this offer is expensive.
low rated
This would've been an instabuy before...
Wow that's an awesome release :).
Would like to hear what people think of this.

I vaguely remember a review/preview, where they liked it buy said the balance was severely flawed, with multiple frustrating failures due to pure random number generator situations rather than choice and tactics.

If you don't find your dvd back, there is always the UK blu-ray for a nice upgrade:

I haven't seen the movie in ages but I still have some good vague memories of it (and I like the 70's painted poster artwork)

Yeah, for the first time ever I found myself regretting that this was not a movie release :-D
