Special-Agent Quest

Codename: ICEMAN a classic true-to-form Sierra adventure, is available now DRM-free on GOG.com.

If you're not quite familiar with Sierra's Police Quest-style adventures, you can expect the following: grounded realism based on actual military procedure, plenty of challenge, delightfully retro text-based commands, and a rewarding experience like none other.

If you are familiar with Sierra-style adventuring you know just what you're up against – this is your chance to step into the shoes of a Naval Officer on a quest to rescue "the ambassador" and prevent total war. To succeed you'll have to be persuasive, be creative, and you'll even have to learn how to pilot a submarine – manual included, thankfully.
Yes yes yes thank you thank you thank you, GOG!!!! :)

tburger: EDIT2: It runs on ScummVM..They've drop XP support?
It's probably more of a case of GOG saying they'll guarantee it'll run on Windows 7 and up. They just won't provide support for XP. I really doubt ScummVM suddenly stopped working on this outdated version of Windows.

Now the real question is: Why are you still running XP on your main PC?

Exoanthrope: Another classic Sierra game. I like where this is going.
Yep great release. But where do you think it's going? Don't we have almost all the classic sierra games already?

Off the top of my head, we're just missing:

Conquests of camelot
Conquests of longbow
Ecoquest
Castle of Dr brain
nice

Well, pretty much those, yeah. I'd just like to see gog have the whole catalogue.
A James Walls adventure. They are all very dated thematically (his views of race and social class were... well, let's not think too much about that) and some puzzles do not work, but you won't find many James Bond like adventures around there anyway.

EDIT: and the Sierra games are, somehow, still playable, still beautiful and still sound just right.

Works on: Windows (7, 8, 10)
Must be one of those fancy schmancy DX11 titles.

Good to see that. Thanks GOG dude, you know who you are ;)
As I've said before: Credit where credit is due!

Holy crap! Is that Snake Logan sitting at that table?

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if some Apogee exec played Iceman many moons ago and went "Heh, yeah, let's give this guy his own game!"

Willy Beamish a few weeks ago and now this. Neither of those are my kind of game, but if GOG is on a Sierra kick then maybe, just maybe, Conquests of the Longbow, Eco Quests 1 & 2 and Peppers Adventures in Time will show up at some point.

Mixed-Up Mother Goose (1987)
Gold Rush! (1988)
Manhunter: New York (1988)
Manhunter 2: San Francisco (1989)
Conquests Of Camelot: The Search For The Grail (1990) - 3rd Person, Sierra Entertainment
Conquests Of The Longbow: The Legend Of Robin Hood (1991) - 3rd Person, Sierra Entertainment
EcoQuest: The Search For Cetus (1991) - 3rd Person, Sierra Entertainment
Pepper's Adventures In Time (1993) - Side-scrolling, Sierra Entertainment
Ecoquest II: Lost Secret Of The Rainforest (1993) - 3rd Person, Sierra Entertainment

Castle Of Dr. Brain (1991) - 1st Person, Sierra Entertainment
The Island Of Dr. Brain (1992) - 1st Person, Sierra Entertainment

Shivers (1995) - 1st Person, Sierra Entertainment
Lighthouse: The Dark Being (1996) - 1st Person, Sierra Entertainment
Shivers 2: Harvest Of Souls (1997) - 1st Person, Sierra Entertainment

And if the add the dynamix games (and we should):

Rise Of The Dragon (1990) - 1st Person, Dynamix
Heart Of China (1991) - 1st Person, Dynamix
Rama (1996) - 1st Person, Dynamix
Nice to... wait. Wait, wait, WAIT!!! Regionally priced oldie? Again?! Ugh, not so nice after all :/
low rated
With a little luck this might buy as an entire game without a "GOG no longer releases old games and I hate it" thread.

Of course it also will probably result in a "I'm sick of all the adventure games" thread :D
nice old game, the graphics are a little to blocky, and colors are limited,i will get this one later....

Eco Quest 1 and 2 and Peppers are very similar games, but the rest are different. When you say "not my kind of game" you mean that you don't like any kind of adventure game?
This graphics design always gave me a head ache but the games were always fun.
