La-va land.

UPDATE: Any maelstrom of relentless brutality needs some kickass music to truly shine. BUTCHER's Extended OST includes the original game soundtrack, as well as extended versions and bonus tracks, in a list of 28 hard-hitting tunes that will make you anxious for the next bloodbath.
The soundtrack is 10% off until February 1st, 2:00PM UTC.

BUTCHER, an unapologetically gory 2D sidescroller where you KILL ALL HUMANS, is available now for Windows, Mac, and Linux, DRM-free on GOG.com.

The machines won, humanity is pretty much extinct, so what's the purpose of these last surviving meatbags, anyway? No matter - they'll be excellent cannon fodder for your cyborg that's assigned on cleanup duty. Gear up in your full metal jacket and go chase these organic pests out of their underground hideouts, through the remains of their devastated cities, and inside thick jungles. Exercise creative brutality using your shotguns, grenade launchers, and chainsaws to splatter bloody pixels all over the place as you mow down the stubborn humans in a mad festival of hardcore slaughter. Your occasional death (or do cyborgs prefer "retirement"?) is inevitable but so is the ridiculous amount of satisfaction that this old-school carnage will offer you.

Go hunting and exterminate all humans from the face of the planet, as the merciless BUTCHER, DRM-free on GOG.com.

With that kind of games, live gameplay looks better (sharper and crisp) than screenshots.

joppo: I have. The cornbread can't possibly have insulted her nearly enough :-p
That does it. We shall have a fight to the death using two bowls of fortune_p_dawg's chili!

I AM PREPARED FOR THE CHALLENGE.

Well, almost. Gotta build up some resistance to capsaicin.

Wouldn't you rather have a tree trunk throwing contest, or maybe a mandolin duel?

BTW, haven't we hijacked some other thread not long ago?

Only if you accept hard rock mandolins and will be prepared for the epic slide whistle solo.

I have no idea what you're talking about, and your mother says you still need a haircut.

Vestin: Unpopular opinion here: I like the art style.
No, seriously. People like me are the reason you keep seeing these games.
I like , [url=https://images-1.gog.com/3474af03677758cd9400c1b73fcdc7da661a5e5e994f3d1d0c59fc073496ce0c.jpg]this, , and [url=https://duelyst.com/img/screenshots/screen-2.jpg]this, so it's unsurprising that I also find this appealing... Sorry. I like big blocks and I cannot lie.
I also get excited when I see grids, but that's a separate issue :S...
I like the art style as well, and make absolutely no apologies for that. Long may games continue to be released that cater to our preference.
