Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is now available, DRM-free.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is the FULL game experience, an exploration-focused, side-scroller action RPG packing all of the best features you've come to know and love from the Metroidvania genre into a single, content-packed game.

Play as Miriam, an orphan scarred by an alchemist’s curse which slowly crystallizes her body. In order to save herself, and indeed, all of humanity, she must battle her way through a demon-infested castle summoned by Gebel, her old friend whose body and mind has become more crystal than flesh.

Yup, It is frustrating to know that in the last minute. If Shenmue 3 fans are pissed because it was made epic exclusive then I am equally pissed because cotm was made steam exclusive.

Dude, I only played Symphony of the Night, for like 30 minutes max in early 00's, do you think I know/remember how it plays?

I am asking Catlevania players: is this a quality product? By your answer, I presume yes?

It is a good game. As to whether you'll like it, hit up a let's play of the first 30 minutes or so to see if it's your bag. That's all I can say.

Opposite here, was actually thinking that it looks gorgeous, and I'm hardly ever impressed by graphics. But not a style of gameplay I could deal with.

Backers are still owed a key for the soundtrack, if I'm not mistaken.
The strategy guide PDF is missing too.

Anime-BlackWolf: Yeah, I do NOT blame GOG for this. Of cause not. I am honestly sorry for GOG.

I FULLY blame Inti AND the publisher of "Bloodstained" itself for this, so no money for them until the game is here.

But again, if the publisher wants my money, I want the full one. All games.

And the publisher itself seems to be very interrested in making money for "nice" minimalistic DLC, too. 10 Euro for one skin and a new boss? In an aleady quite expensive game? WOW...
It has nothing to do with the publisher of Bloodstained RON (505 games) though. It seems Inti self published Circle of the Moon.

It's a quality product most certainly. However, it's an igavania through and through. If you didn't like Symphony of the Night you probably won't like this.

I'm having a blast though, but then again I love igavanias!

I am not fan of anything, except Max Stirner and Geese Howard.

Played it 30 minutes - meaning, tried it long time ago and don't remember how it plays.
Did play couple of metroidvanias, and I quite enjoy the genre. But never "famous" metroidvania titles.

I don't like the art style at all and the animations feel weird as if they were almost in slow motion, but I must say that at glance it seems quite good. Those who are playing it gave already positive opinions, and from the footage I have seen it does seem interesting.

Also, Shovel Knight makes an appearance as a monster and you can use his shovel as a weapon. +1 XD
