A handful of magic.

Death Gate is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com.
Rich in text, detailed fantasy drawings and challenging puzzles, this cult classic first-person adventure will take you through a dark tale of exile and bitter revenge. Years after his race got unfairly banished from the five realms by the advanced Sartan, a young hero must journey through all of them and collect the seal pieces that will help his people restore their place in the world. The road is paved with trouble and unexpected obstacles but his allies and magic abilities could be the key to saving the day!
Wow, GOG. Just WOW. I'm speechless. What a way to start off 2018. Bought it immediately. The Legend Entertainment games are what I've been hoping to see here the most for some time now. You delivered yet again. THANK YOU! Now that Death Gate is on here, surely that means we have Shannara, Blackstone Chronicles, Callahan's Crosstime Saloon, etc. to look forward to soon?

It's good to see Legend titles here as well, despite I've never really liked either the Death Gate book or this game adaptation.
Great start to 2018!

I also hope the rest of the Legend games will make their way here.
There are two versions of this game: with VGA and SVGA graphics. I guess we've got hi-res one, can anyone cofirm?
Can we get both versions of the game, GOG?

What a great start to 2018! Thank you, GOG! I’m seeing a continued great future together. ^_^
One of those games that I've heard the title of quite a few times but I've never played or even seen. Seems interesting. And I really dig the art.
Whoa, that's impressive. (The game itself is more of a curiosity for fans of the books.)
Good to see this here. Not particularly interested in this game but I'm hopeful that Superhero League of Hoboken and Companions of Xanth will eventually make their way here.

I would LOVE to see these released. Played and loved them all as a kid. You forgot Time Quest, but I'll forgive you this one time.

To expand on what gtrager posted earlier, the publisher (Piko Interactive) wrote this on its website:
Now, I can comfortably go towards the main announcement. Here at Piko, we slowly pivoted from a homebrew developer that produced retro mini games, to a retro publisher that acquired IPs. When we acquire the rights to a game, we feel like we are giving it a new cozy home which would give it a new purpose in life. Through the years (since 2013) we have increased the budgets or the caliber of acquisitions we do. From indie unreleased games, to popular games from the 90s. Back in Oct 2017, we did the biggest investment for Piko to date. We are very excited to announce that we closed a 60 titles catalog acquisition. This acquisition we worked on virtually since the beginning of Piko Interactive LLC. For many reasons we could not close until Oct 2017! These new titles allow us to hit a very important milestone of owning over 100 IPs. The list of titles will not be revealed at the moment; but we can give you a general idea of what it includes.

We acquired these titles from a large known publisher who over the years of operation, they themselves acquired many smaller developers that eventually closed shop. The titles included in this new catalog have mainly original IPs from the following developers:

Infogrames
Ocean Software
Legend Entertainment
Beam Software
Accolade
Hasbro Interactive
GT Interactive
Microprose/Spectrum Holobyte
In short, 60 titles from a list that includes several interesting developers. Huzzah!
...and purchased.

Great start, GOG!
It's the new year. Taking into account everyone at GOG had the day off yesterday, are releases going to be Wednesday now or Tuesday and Thursday?
I remember reading this book series as a kid (and, now that I look, it's still on my shelf)! I had absolutely no idea they made a game of it.
