I'm seeing a -50% discount and I'm pretty sure it's not just for me.

We were wondering the same in What's up with GOG uploading low-resolution game trailers? but couldn't find a reason for it.

That's what I was wondering. But I guess the 480p video is so that even people with a low download speed network can watch it without any problems. Of course, that's just my guess.
One of those games that i see the first time and buy immediately because the atmosphere of the trailer is fantastic!

YouTube lets users select the resolution, so that's not an issue.
This seems beautiful... Fantastic art direction.

I just noticed, very strange. Here the max is 480p which is certainly low to today's standards...
Thanks for the 1080p link Ice_Mage
Look beautiful! ^_^

I was a bit worried since it is short (4-6 hours according to How Long To Beat, which I don't find super accurate in general but at this length they are unlikely to be off by too much) and without a demo it is hard to tell if I'll enjoy it as much as I think I will. Then I saw from an interview with one of the developers that the soundtrack is by David García Díaz (RiME and Hellblade). I think they aren't advertising that more since he did it while also working full time for Ninja Theory.

Also, I was trying to figure out why Untold Tales is publishing Arise now when it started out at Techland. Untold Tales was started by former Techland employees but I'm not sure if they made a deal around this game or if they are partly or entirely owned by Techland. While looking I found someone posting on Steam who lost progress but was able to get it restored, so here is the post in case it happens to anyone with this version.

I didn't play it so far but i like smaller sized indie games that are not too long, a good 5 hours game that i can finish in an evening or two is something i welcome quite often. For example, i played "A Juggler's Tale" recently which was around 2 hours long but really loved it :)

Thanks for the recommendation! I agree, a nice 2 hour experince is great, no need to pointlessly extend it, although they should be honest about the length and the price should match the length. I am disabled so I have more time and less money, but quality short games are still nice.

I agree! I don't remember how much i paid for Juggler's Tale, but because it was on release date it was probably a bit much for a 2 hour game. Maybe keep it in the back of your mind :)
What kind of games are you playing usually?

Woodwine22:
Yep, I wishlisted it thanks to your recommendation :), even though it reminds me of Deadlight (although I mostly disliked the horrible story and zombies in that one along with a few sections of frustrating gameplay, otherwise the idea was good; I normally avoid zombie stuff and only tried it because I loved RiME). I like narrative focused games like Falcom games or "wordless narrative" if done well like RiME or My Brother Rabbit or Arise (hopefully), lots of platformers (just played 8doors which is quite good), puzzle games (The Witness, Creaks), card or board games (Card City Nights, Wingspan), sim games (Timberborn, SimCity 3000, Roller Coaster Tycoon, Kerbal Space Program), or games with a good use of music (Botanicula). Sometimes adventure games if they make more sense and have a good narrative, like Röki that wasn't too long (got that one on $6 flash deal, also expensive normally).
