An Abyss of Dreams is a cosmic horror point-and-click game – and it’s now available on GOG alongside its Soundtrack!

Two worlds, one nightmare. Step inside a brutal orphanage and uncover the dark secrets of Québec’s Great Darkness. Solve puzzles related to an inexplicable phenomenon and dive into the depths of dreams to uncover otherworldly horrors.

Not the intended effect, but I smiled a lot listening to the dialogs in the trailer (in Canadian French, with the accent) :)

Cosmic horror! There's that term again!

I heard it the first time recently with "Look Outside", and now another.
What next, aquatic horror?

EDIT: NOOOOOOO! That is also already a thing!

"Aquatic horror is a subgenre of horror focusing on fear of the ocean, deep water, and its inhabitants, often driven by thalassophobia (fear of the sea) or the unknown. Common themes include stranded victims, intelligent creatures, and psychological claustrophobia, ranging from creature features like Jaws and The Meg to deep-sea psychological horror like Underwater or The Abyss."

Ummm, errr, what about "solar horror" or "candy horror"? Are they also already a thing? Candyman?

EDIT2: Bought the game + soundtrack, mainly due to the freebie. It doesn't look awful, does it? I wouldn't have guessed it is cosmic horror, with nuns and all in the screenshots. Looked more like asylum horror or monastery horror to me, than cosmic horror.

As long as it isn't toilet horror, that's the worst.

Seems the claimed game is being delayed as claimed it even had a success message but not showing in the gog site library or galaxy
