Really looking forward to seeing how well they have done on their own.
Good : )

Swedrami: Teaser Short
This has to be the shittiest format for releasing a teaser. How about putting the video up upside down and in 240p too?
Think this is just a ad hinting to a Twitch stream... who knows what might be revealed there in less than 2 hours.

"14th-century Europe
Bloody conflicts sweep the lands, and the Black Death comes for the survivors. In the wake of the disasters claiming thousands of lives, the decimated human population struggles for survival. It's a moment of weakness - and that's all they needed.

Vampires seize their opportunity
They walk out of the shadows and claim what they've been denied for centuries: freedom, and power that comes with it. Other creatures of the night follow their lead. Legends turn into reality, and history as we know it will never be the same.

You play as Coen
A young man turned into a Dawnwalker, forever treading the line between the world of day and the realm of night. Fight for your humanity or embrace the cursed powers to save your family. Whatever your choice, the question stands: is your soul worth the lives of those you love?

Combine vampiric strength with human resolve
Face your foes - be they human, monster, or the ticking clock itself. But remember - the real evil may bask in the sun's light, and the most loyal of allies could lurk under the cover of night.

Decide which path to follow and whom to trust in Rebel Wolves' narrative sandbox!"

So far, so good, I'm liking what I heard in regards to the premise and that - if I got it right - there's only a limited amount of in-game time for achieving the ideal outcome to the main task (save the family + end the vampires' reign?).

Had hoped for a little more of gameplay to be shown off than just a mere 5 seconds though.
Looks... ok. Nothing mind blowing, nothing bad. Besides, it's a cinematic. No one witha half a brain buys into hype based on those.

That sounds terrible. I hate time limits. I mean sure, I get it, it makes logical sense... but it's no fun, it turns the game into an anxiety machine.

*see post 52* 'oh boy sounds good'

It's shit like this that turned me off Dead Rising, despite the game seeming fun in other ways.
For those not wanting to need to sign in to bypass the age restriction, currently the publisher put it up unrestricted: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWsyV7yQIBQ

In terms of just how it looks, for a cinematic trailer made now, could have done much better, rather reminds me of those for Witcher 1... Which makes sense in a way, but it's been a heck of a long time since then.

Otherwise, premise seems interesting, but yeah, if there will be a time limit, nothing could save it from my point of view, absolute dealbreaker.
The cinematic part is boring and very predictable collection of tropes, just like the Witcher 4 trailer. However, visuals are more appealing.

Extremely-short gameplay part looks quite fun. Semi-mechanical monster is the only interesting thing in the entire video. ;D

What exactly the time constraints are and how they're implemented will all be explained in due time, I reckon.
I think I remember one of the devs mentioning that's it's (entirely) optional, though.

Personally I'm all for it, the lack of urgency in terms of "getting shit done" (and the resulting narrative dissonance), especially in open world RPGs might just be solvable via in-game time limits and/or deadlines.

I agree, depending on how it's handled it could indeed be a solution.

Off course we wouldn't need a solution at all if writers hadn't created the problem with piss poor handling of urgency in narratives.

In a game like TW3, "Ciri, Ciri, i have to save...oooh, nekkers", completely "mickey-mouses" a char and a narrative right from the get go.

Trailer looks good and the premise is enticing, let's see how execution fares.

What is the point of the game being an open-world RPG if engaging in side-content and exploration is to be penalised?
