Well, I guess I figured out GoGs masterplan:
They will start a surprise Smmer Sale in December and Steam doesn`t have a chance against this plan. Everybody will say:"Oooh, what a cunning idea!" and they will never buy games from Steam again. And while Steam dies GoG will be the new leader of the game selling industry!!!

It'd be a bit silly if they have. Seasonal sales can bring major traffic and money, and with Steam's being right around the corner you'd want to either pre-empt them (and get custom and money before the major site), run at the same time (and try and compete with better services and sales), run after (in which case you risk people not having money left in their budget, or wait until the next financial month), or be fully aware and secure that your company occupies a niche area such that Steam won't affect much of your custom and business.

hehe, I said that just to trick GOG into putting the sale on an hour latter. It's so they think they surprised us. mwahaha
