german IP address maybe? the game is blocked in germany, which would explain it not being shown in the store.

No it doesn't, yes, it is Germany problem :'(
This is weird as I am a legal citizen of another country, not Germany, and it is EU so, what the hell. I hoped this DRM is border free. Anyway, let's try with a VPN :D Thanks all for the answers!

2. clear your browser history
3. sign back in
4. go here: https://www.gog.com/account/settings/personal
5. change country, currency and language settings
6. try again: https://www.gog.com/game/quake_iii_gold
