OMG I WAS WAITING FOR THIS GAME!!!! INSTABOUGHT!

...That's what I'd said 6 MONTHS ago if the game was released here at the same day as Steam. I will never understand what was the point of that decision, was it because of piracy? I have news for you IF, the game was sent to the "seven seas" 3 days after release, so you'd probably earned more money at release if you released the game here too lol

Also, after all these years of weird decisions like this, milking Neptunia series with bland spin offs, mobile gacha games and other lame stuff really made me lose interest on the series. The series started to die anyways, seeing how "well" this game sold in Japan. If they think that "HDN: Sisters Vs Sisters" will save the series, I think that will be pretty hard, the models look ugly anyway.

I'm really impulsive when buying games, no matter how expensive they are or how many (useless) DLC's it has, but this one won't be the case. I'm so dissapointed that I don't think I'll buy another IF game again. One less purchase for you, and even more for the future I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I wouldn't mind waiting 1 year for every game as long as they come here (with a discount).
I'm conflicted. On the one hand, the four base Neptunia games are great. On the other hand, I can't keep buying side games given that the last series of side games were not really my style, and this new one isn't really my kind of game, either. I doubt buying it will encourage Idea Factory (or anyone else) to release more games on gog, either (in fact, it might give them the wrong idea about what kind of games I want). I guess that given my current lack of playing any games at all, I'll have to pass this time. Wake me when Disgaea (yes, I know, completely different publisher & developer) gets here.

While I would normally also use this opportunity to plug said base Neptunia games (HyperDimension Neptunia 1-3, Mega Dimension Neptunia VIIR), this sale seems about twice as expensive as they normally go on sale for. I will commend the writer of this gog article for actually giving a better description of the base games than usually presented. I'd also recommend the other IF turn-based RPGs, at least the ones I was able to get running under Wine (Death End Re;Quest 1+2, Fairy Fencer F, Dragon Star Varnir); in particular, Death End Re;Quest has an interesting combat system where you play billiards with the enemies.

Sorry that I ask, but isn't the released version an enhaced version of the original?
wiki: "Fairy Fencer F ADVENT DARK FORCE is an expanded version of the original Fairy Fencer F. "

Is there a resason why one should want to receive the original here as well? I know that Hyperdimension Neptunia VIIR is considered to be inferior to the original. Is this the case here as well?

It would be the only game missing, if the rest would be available here. So I list it only for completionist's sake.

Same case as "Hyperdimension". Maybe there is something interresting missing in the old build...
Great they finally released it here after that last minute delay they did.
I like Idea Factory games, but I don't like how they are handled on GOG.

Neptunia Re;Birth 1-3 have been missing Achievements on GOG for eons, and they still are right now too as of November 2022.

Without them, I cannot buy those games in good faith, as I will feel like I'm being cheated and treated unfairly due to them having a missing feature which could easily be added if only the devs put in a tiny amount of work to do so.

And my lack of ability to buy the first 3 Neptunia games in good faith also leaves me reluctant to buy the subsequent ones too (and some of the new ones like VIIR seem also to be missing Achievements even though other new ones have them?!), all of which I would have bought if the first 3 games, and also all the others, had feature parity with other platforms.

I am also not happy with how IF will not release the original version of Megadimension Neptunia VII on GOG even though that is universally considered to be the better version (as opposed to the Remake version that is on GOG). It seems IF is assuming that we just want the newest version under the assumption that it is automatically better due to it being newer, but in actual fact we the people reject that incorrect assumption, and we want the original & superior version, not the Remake version.

As for this Ninja Wars game: I might have bought that even though it's regarded as the weakest and most toned-down and most feature-lacking SK game, for the sake of being a completionist, in order to complete my SK collection; that is, if I actually had an SK collection...which I don't, because GOG only offers one of the SK games even though several of them are available elsewhere.

I expect the reason why GOG only has one SK game (or two now, if we are counting Ninja Wars as an SK game) is because GOG totally botched the release of the first SK game that was released on GOG via having a bugged banner, which when clicked on, it incorrectly didn't go to the store page for the game for quite some time (and apparently GOG didn't compensate the publisher with extra banner time to accommodate that bug that misdirected customers who clicked on the bugged banner away from the game's store page), and also because GOG didn't announce the first SK release on GOG in their Newsletter, which probably resulted in most GOG customers never even realizing that it became available on GOG, and therefore not buying it.

And the apparent subsequent low sales of that first SK game which appeared on GOG probably leaves that publisher unlikely to bother releasing the other SK games on GOG...which in turn, due to me not having access to most of the series, leaves customers like me with little incentive to buy this Ninja Wars game.

GOG could possibly remedy this problem if they were to make efforts to amend the aforementioned botchings with their Shinovi Versus release, such as by promoting it heavily in a new Newsletter Announcement, which could possibly lead to high sales of that game and consequently cause the other SK games finally to appear on GOG.

How are these games in terms of gameplay/story ratio? I do like a good JRPG, but not if I'm going to have to spend a considerable amount of time just watching the story unfold.

Voted for most games listed, but I want Megadimension Neptunia VII most of all. The re-release VIIR we got here is simply a downgrade.

Wait, how did the post I'm replying to get "low rated"? I'm pretty sure that's no longer supposed to be possible.
