Fictionvision: The article was probably put out as damage control since there are people that get mad over a game still supporting the 360/ps3. They say that limits the potential for it to push the PS4/XB1 as much as possible.
why would there need to be "damage control" ?

console generations are cycles there will always be a new generation and new games to make the platform worthwhile
thats how it works
thats how it has always been

the only difference this time is that the generation has lasted a decade instead of the usual 3-5 years
( dreamcast and saturn both lasted 3 years
the xbox 4 years
the ps1 6 years as far as spotlight and major releases go
the n64 5 years and so on )

the article comes over as clueless more then anything it seems to be surprised that there is a new generation and that the old generation wont be supported anymore

DreamedArtist: Eh I only seen the xbox 360 as an arcade unit to kill time with friends online and ps3 to be a bluray player and EVERYTHING JAPANESE related when comes to games.

Thank god they killed support for those almost 10 year old consoles.
are going to kill it

the ps3 and xbox 360 are on life support with one foot in the grave
