Check out Katatonia's latest albums. Wonderful. They are currently verging on progressive metal/rock.
Damn, I just looked over this thread and realized I haven't mentioned Angra! What was I thinking? It's one of my favorite power/prog metal bands after all.

Some highlights you don't want to miss out on:
Angra - Heroes Of Sand
Angra - Waiting Silence
Angra - Morning Star - this is one damn nostalgic song
Angra - Secret Garden
Angra - Millennium Sun

Thanks, I will. Haven't listened to any of their more recent albums.

I think Neurosis is considered progressive metal...or something https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cDohjxVLXFA
Looks like most of the prog metal crowd has been asleep for months, so I'll break the ice with a small contribution.

Dragonland - though they are technically a symphonic/power metal band, I'm bending the rules a bit and mentioning them since at least some of their songs have clear progressive influences. Check these out:

Dragonland - Supernova
Dragonland - Beethoven's Nightmare
Dragonland - The Black Mare
Ayreon has recently released a new album: "The Source". Here are a few highlights:

Ayreon - The Day That The World Breaks Down
Ayreon - Sea Of Machines
Ayreon - Into The Ocean

Though I can't say I like all the tracks on the album, Arjen certainly has his outstanding moments, as usual. "Sea Of Machines" is probably my favorite.

Angra - Caveman
Angra - Black Widow's Web

Nice one, thanks for sharing!

Btw, I recently found out about this surprisingly good local progressive metal band:
The Thirteenth Sun - Universus

This thread needs more Sieges Even.

Prelude: Ode to Sisyphus / The Waking Hours
Reporter
The Lonely View of Condors

Also needs more OSI, come to think of it. Slightly borderline, though Wikipedia still considers them prog.

Go
The Escape Artist
Invisible Men

I'm new to the band, but I've started listening to their albums in chronological order. Thanks for mentioning them :).

Here's my favorite song so far: Sieges Even - What If?

Good pick, and yeah, they've never been very prominent from what I can tell.
And good job on making it that far, the early stuff is a bit rough around the edges.
My whole-hearted recommendation for new Riverside album Wasteland. Inspired by Fallout games. The more i listen to it, the more it grows on me. Also album of the year for me without a doubt. <3

These guys are awesome and have a new album coming out next month. Can't wait!

Until then, here's some stuff from their debut album:
Witherfall - What We Are Dying For
Witherfall - End Of Time
Witherfall - Nobody Sleeps Here...
