Nucleosys, before closing down, had in its website, 2 files for free downloading. One, was a small patch. Second, was a large file to improve graphics and visuals. I had those files backed up during that time. They both work normally with pirated version. In GoG version, the patch cannot be installed. The graphics overhaul works, applies, but when you run the game, it is always a dead, black screen and never plays.

This patch is not a mere patch. It is a fix, which allows the second, hidden ending of the game to appear. In GoG version, you CANNOT access the hidden, second ending. GoG version has NOT this small patch merged in game files.

Someone must do something. Of course game is good to go, great and all, as is here, but with issue hanging, it is kinda "incomplete". Second ending was accessed only if you frequently revisit your room and use typewriter, each time you do some small action in game, and hour changes. Various entries on journal appear, that wouldn't, if you did just that. You know when you can access the ending, if during your conversation with the retired police chief, you can PICK which line to use. And you must pick them in correct order, also. GoG version, during that dialogue, has NO CHOICE at all; protagonist chooses his lines passively.

Please, do something with that patch!

KiNgBrAdLeY7: That aside, still, they can take the patch (it is still distributed freely from places like Gamershell) and incorporate it into existing GoG Scratches in libraries of people who bought it, as a GoG patch.

DyNaer: i would still contact the support for a definitve answer, in the past they pushed some new gog build for games no more on sales. But i wouldn't hold my breath too much.

Grargar: Did those new builds modify anything in-game or only their own installers? (V2 from V1)

Unfortunately, i cannot locate the small patch that enables the second hidden ending. And i don't know how to myself upload it here. I think i cannot, though.

DyNaer: i can't locate either the small patch, everytimes i find anything the file is no more avaible :/

KiNgBrAdLeY7: Well, if you want it, i have it on cd. It is like 1 MB, i guess i can send it via email as attached file. But it is incompatible with the version of GoG.

DyNaer: don't worry, i don't really need it, since it's incompatible with the gog version.

it was just for the gog devs team, if they can do anything to be able to use those patches.

Grargar: Yes. I suspect that the publisher (Meridian 4) had their publishing rights expire and decided not to renew the contract. No idea how the developer will proceed.
Edit: Wait, the developer seems to have closed down for years. Hmmm.... I wonder who owns the game now.
