Does anyone has a problem Launching Kain's Wrath, the expansion of Command and Conquer 3, on origin client? I know it's not standalone, i installed main game normally, then this one. Whenever i try to launch it, though, it keeps asking for a CD-key, and each and every time i insert it either from game shelf, or from retail box manual, it keeps rejecting it. I would appreciate if someone could help
I just played it yesterday and had no problem.
I got it as part of Ultimate Collection or whatever it is called.

I had fairly similar problem with Red Alert 2. That one wasn't asking me for CD-key but wanted me to insert CD instead.
I solved it by disabling my DVD-drive.
I guess you could give it a shot in case you have one. I have external one so I just unplugged it, but I guess by disabling it in PC shoudl work too.

A large number of other people have the same problem as well, as i realized after some forum searching. Well... My retail copy runs fine, but DRM for me is a no go, no chance to have the disk plugged in all the time. Origin malfunctions and always gives an error. Probably because of the Gamespy closure, since Kane expansion is treated mostly as online/multi. People suggest a fan/community utility, c&c online launcher, to unhook game from origin, run both as administrator, etc etc, yet, after some more reading into forums and posts, even then, some people were unable to play the game. Hell, even STEAM players report similar errors! So i decided to uninstall and steer clear. EA is terrible, for god's sake... I am happy i decided to not throw more money of mine into the fire, EA 's pockets that is. Now i am really glad i never purchased the Ultimate Collection, even when on 50% discount (i think even half way through today it will be on sale for 15 euro). Besides, people claim Generals and Red Alert 2, are still, by far superior, to ALL new games, past Westwood era.

Damn that made me sad.
