F4LL0UT: Did they only display as unlocked somewhere in the game (so maybe it's just local achievements) or do they actually show up like that when you check the achievement list in the Galaxy client?
They didn't even show up in-game at all. There's a list on the game page itself in Galaxy though, see picture.

In TWD all but one seem to be for getting to a certain point in the game, not for doing anything specific, so I'm guessing I should have gotten two out of the remaining three for just playing through the game.

That's the one I was referring to. I was unable to unlock anything on it when I tried The Witcher 2.

Heh. I hope GOG didn't do the same shit Steam is doing and skip local storage of achievements so you don't unlock an achievement in case of the slightest connectivity problems. I also haven't gotten a whole bunch of achievements in Steam games due to this kind of shit. My router loves losing the connection for a few seconds once in a while and then I'm usually unable to unlock achievements without manually restarting the game.

classicduke: I have been playing through Tales from the Borderlands and the achievements are not unlocking. When will this be fixed?

F4LL0UT: Last time I checked Galaxy didn't actually support achievements yet, despite everything suggesting otherwise. I only tried in case of The Witcher 2 several weeks ago since Galaxy already lists the achievements for it but apparently they still can't actually be unlocked. It sucks, especially the way GOG handles this is preposterous as they've made it seem like achievements have been working since the open beta has launched while it simply isn't the case.

The only thing that even hints at the fact that achievements aren't actually implemented into Galaxy yet is that in Galaxy's settings menu they are in the "coming soon" section where everything is greyed out.
