tremere110: Is Gainax still developing it?

I'm not too sure how much I like playing only to find out it's all an illusion and that some chthonic Judeo-Christian entity was devouring humanity all the while and pooping out a diarrhea of collective consciousness.

Hmmm, you know what I'd still play that :D
It's 9 years since Princess Maker 5 was published so my guess is no more, it all depends if Takami Akai is up to make more. He did publish new non-princess maker game last year, Ramen no Megami.
And there is this new Princess Maker for smartphones but it's published by MGAME.
This game is great. It's more complex than any of today's RPGs

Maybe more complex than most JPRGs, but I think WRPGs beg to differ.

I think WRPGs don't beg to differ as none of them have as many options, stats, variables and endings as this game.
Bumping this thread up because game is alive with -20% promo discount that ends 5 October.

Reading thru reviews show that there are some minor bugs and changes.
Here's some of those (didn't read all the reviews yet).

- Rough engrish in some places (they are open for improvments/feedback).
- Stat/Skill name changes. Borrowed from review: "Charisma has become Glamour, Refinement has become Elegance, and neither of those are really troubling." ---(This is probably just personal taste.)
- Faith-stat revert bug.
- No subtitles at end letter. (DOHH!!)

Well, let steamers do testing and let's hope we also get this when fixed. X-D

Considering it's from a Japanese dev, and most of those seem to think the non-Japan PC market is Steam, I very much doubt it'll ever come here.

Anyway, I bought it on Steam, and so far it seems pretty much the same as the older version I played back in the day. The English translation is awkward at times, but other than that I haven't noticed any bugs, and the graphics aren't very different.
Just bumping this thread to mention that CFK is bringing Princess Maker 1 Refine to steam mid-february (probably next week).
Gematsu article. Price is mentioned to be $9.99.

Personally I'm still on the edge if I get these, their PM2 does seem to still have some translation issues according to discussions and patch-note -thread, and they probably been translating PM1 than squashing PM2-bugs because last update is from late October.

Is there any word on the other princess makers?

No other signs than those old "Wish to bring full series.." so we'll have wait and see.

They did take out the debug and beta shops, but those weren't meant to ship with the game in the first place! Which means pressing Q+R+N+F12 does nothing now!
