Ah, Princess Maker 2. The Princess Raising Sim that nearly made it across the seas, but sadly was sunk just before release. Featuring over 50 endings, colorful graphics, and the tedium of doing work in the church to decrease sinfulness, this is a cult classic that met a fond appreciation amongt a very specific crowd.

20 years later, and suddenly they announce a refined version of it.

Never too late for anything, I guess!

The GOG wishlist for Princess Maker 2 isn't as small as one might think, and now would be an optimum time to negotiate for a release!

So I've made this thread to gauge the overall interest in such an idea!

I've seen that before. Have you ever mentioned it in the past? Somehow it looks like something I'd play. :P

I most certainly have, mon frère aîné. There's also a Let's Play of it on The Let's Play Archive, chronicling the life of Lizzy Shinkicker.
What, no Prince Maker? How triggeringly macro-exclusive of you, fellow entity.

No, tinyE, there is NOT a HuniePop mod!
:( I read it as Princess Maker 2 : The Princess Racing Sim. That would've been cool, like that world in Wreck-It Ralph

Interesting, such an obscure title to remake.
I did enjoy it back in the day though.

Don't blame me. Blame Gainax/Softegg.

Well, personally I don't think Princess Racing is much good. Besides, we have Mario Kart for that.

You say that, and yet in the original game, there was an easily accessed code to make her wear the "Undress".

This is also a game where she can literally marry her father or more casually, Lucifer.

Or her demon butler.

Or a dragon.

I don't wanna be a blamist, so I'll just have to accuse absolutely everyone on the planet. No Prince Maker? You're all grounded. No weekend party for you.

I didn't enjoy it in the "day" as it were, seeing as I would have been about 5 at the time, but I later did enjoy it.
I like the art style of Princess Maker more.
However Princess Maker 2 have much more players and better review/score.

Anyway, if GOG have Princess Maker 2, I surely will buy it.
This is quite nice that some company finally does bring this to western markets and
they wish to bring full series here (what I read from Japanese news sites).

When I saw this, I immediately saw the future discussions at steam-page..
There are going to be at least one "B00bs!?", "Is there nudity???" or "Does debug mode work?" thread
like in every single VN-game discussion. *facepalm*

It would be nice if they could even bring Princess Maker 2 Classic-version too for us old beards.
That's the good old 256-color version from Windows 95/Me-era with XP and up support added but
it might be too off for youngers gamers. X-D

It's nice to have whole series in shelve even if they are PS1/PS2-versions. :-)
The interesting thing about it is that it's made by Gainax, so I'm betting there's more than one surprise in it.

Oh, you would be oh so correct.

I had heard some murmurs that people prefer the brighter colors of III, and that this looks more like a digitally colored redo that doesn't quite match the old art.

Is Gainax still developing it?

I'm not too sure how much I like playing only to find out it's all an illusion and that some chthonic Judeo-Christian entity was devouring humanity all the while and pooping out a diarrhea of collective consciousness.

Hmmm, you know what I'd still play that :D
