Luned: Apparently, you can pledge and then select rewards...but they hide the Rewards section behind a site account login wall, which is incredibly frustrating. I shouldn't have to sign up with them just to see what my buying options are.

Grargar: Yup. Seems to be the case.
well
how can i "exchange" my steam key for a gog one, as i already used the steam key to check/play some of the beta already ?

it was the kind of trick like "be patient, even more patient than others, if you want drm free, or taste the beta and get screwed afterwards" ?

edit: i had the scholar edition... steam key claimed/redeemed in august 2016 (beta/not final release)
so as game key was redeemed i suppose that's it... i'm stuck with damn steam... I'm so happy. They could have warned when making beta key available monthes ago that using it would cancel any right/possibility for a GOG/DRM Free version...

Likely a simple matter of having the release version of the game on Steam being a completely different game identity and not being able to upgrade from the beta build to the release build. So you choose, when the game is released, whether you want a Steam key or a GOG key.

*edit* Obsidian did this with Pillars of Eternity. I played the beta on Steam, but chose GOG for the final build.

In that case, you'll probably have to wait a bit. From post 46:

And yes, if you have already claimed your Steam key for Early Access, we're looking into offering an exchange option.

obsidian =/ inxile... thanks for your reassuring attempt though
As someone that backed the equivalent of the Immortal Edition on Kickstarter, will I get a key for that version or the bare bones edition? I ask because the extras are available on my backers account. I'd prefer them here, but I can imagine the powers that be deciding to only give out the basic edition to simplify things on their end.
GoG has it listed as available for the Mac, but I don't see the Mac system requirements?

They're not sure yet. Maybe you can further prod them.

Ouch, for the time beeing there is no way i can justify
spending that amount of money on the Immortal Edition.
I think i have backed the regular edition annyway.
so perhaps we are allowed to upgrade it later.

andry18: Planescape Torment would have been perfect as a preorder gift though...
Except inxile doesn't own the rights, and Hasbro may not want to give their game away to promote another competitor.

sear: The digital goodies will be available via our web site for backers, not sure if we'll have specific "edition" keys for GOG and Steam though. We did this for Wasteland 2, but for Torment our backer and store versions don't quite line up in terms of price/contents the same way. Will need to look into that more and see what our options are.

And yes, if you have already claimed your Steam key for Early Access, we're looking into offering an exchange option.
If you don't hook backers up with appropriate editions, then inXile can kiss my support for any and all future projects goodbye. I'm not pledging to Kickstarter/Fig campaigns and then getting shafted with a stripped edition on GOG. Screw that. It's disgraceful that it's even a question: Will we treat our backers right or not? And don't bother singing me a song about your backer site: I don't want my game and bonus content split across two different sites.

I'm also rather disappointed that you've adopted this three-tier $45/$65/$90 multi-edition structure from Paradox. Please go back to digital classic and digital deluxe, with a simple upgrade option, in the future and plan your campaigns accordingly.

*looks at Novellas bonus and laughs* If it's going to be anything like Obsidian's PoE it'll be years after release before they'll be available. =P Also, avatars and ring tones? Really? That's totally worth the extra dosh. /s

I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. You don't think inXile can do it? It's probably not a difficult thing to arrange.
When this was fist announced I thought it might become the first game for me to buy at release for the full price since Baldur's Gate 2, but as I don't have any money and still way too many other games lying around I haven't played yet, it will have to wait.

I helped kickstart Wasteland 2. I played the beta on Steam and requested a GoG key. InXile revoked the steam version and sent me a key that I happily redeemed on GoG.
Too bad they don't sell it 3,20€ less...
