"A game you’ve been waiting for is now available on GOG.com"

Colour me dissapointed. :(
way too expensive for what looks and probably plays like a mobile game. also, grass texture dlc when?

btw, on october 10 a free prologue/demo will be made available for subscribers of their newsletter. it has its own story and it should be a good way to test it out while you're waiting for the full game to hit a less ridiculous price point.

Thanks a LOT GoG / Lemonbomb Entertainment / rokapublish, Maple Whispering Limited for bringing this over here, most likely will get this next month as my budget won't allow for it, loved MTaPortia and pirates, can't wait to snag this!
I'm a bit suspicious of the list of inspirations provided. Some very impressive titles, many of which I played and liked... But putting them to game description like this feels like the game can't stand on it's own and has to rely on tricks to bait some sales.

I'll most likely get it anyway, and I really hope to be proven wrong. It does look nice. And if they provide a demo it means they have some faith in their work.

Yes, but hopefully it's not like with movies, every single movie that lists "from the director/minds/starring___" is usually always shit... But I'm banking on this being a good title, but the reviews will tell the ultimate tale though!

It's is simple marketing strategy to increase visibility of Yonder (their published title) and I believe there are also another game published by merge or rokapublish on that list. Yonder looks nice, but apparently, it has very little content. Yonder isn't on GOG, so it may be refused.
(it seems I was wrong, they (merge) usually publish console versions, hence Yonder was on their page)

yes, it's a demo. But it isn't just a stripped-down version of the full game. It has its own story that takes place before the plot of the game.

Yeah, what I learned from the past experience game developers who claimed that "This game will be a cross of X game and Y game and Z game but with interesting twist!" tend to be very disappointing in the end. But I also want to be proven wrong because Harvest Moon is my thing and this kind of game is pretty rare in the market.
