htown1980: Reading through these comments, I'm surprised so many people like Daedalic games. I kind of just assumed everyone agreed they were not good. This made me reconsider the games that I have:

1. I hated Deponia. The lead character was probably the lease likeable character I have ever experienced.
2. I hated A New Beginning. It was the first Daedalic game I played and I just found the story so unbearably boring.

I loved Dead Synchronicity, but that wasn't developed by them. I also really enjoyed Blackguards.

I'm currently playing Chains of Satinav and its not bad, with Memoria to come next.

Given there is a sale on, can anyone recommend any other games I should try (bearing in mind my hatred of Deponia and A New Beginning)

Thanks in advance :)

Edit: A had fun with Journey of a Roach
Bearing in mind that tastes differ and that I did enjoy Deponia (play it with German voices and subtitles if you don't speak German, as it gets across the humour much better) I'll give some recommendations:

Anna's Quest, Night of the Rabbit, Edna & Harvey 1, Edna & Harvey 2 and Candle. Most of them are dirt cheap right now. The Whispered World is a bit of a gamble (some people hate it), but it's also really cheap so you might as well try it. Memoria you already have but I'll mention it as something look forward to as it is really good and a marked improvement over Chains of Satinav. Lastly, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun is really good; not an adventure game though, but a Commandos style strategy game.

Memoria was and evidently will always remain Daedalic's finest hour. :|

I almost wrote a few things about the unlikable protagonist in the Deponia series, because I think that Rufus served an experimental purpose that was interesting to experience, but... it may be a little too off-topic. Another time, gladly. :)
This looks amazing. Very, very likely to pre-order the whole shebang.

Breja: Well, if someone could make a choose your own adventure game out of Hamlet then I guess everything's possible :D

Matewis: Lol what the hell I've got to look into that! Then again, I probably need to actually read Hamlet first and I don't really wanna :P
You don't need to, cultural osmosis is enough. The game is kind of a visual novel but with the choice density of a proper Fighting Fantasy.
Thanks for your suggestions guys.

Vythonaut - I have all of those games and love them. For me the Wadjey Eye Games are the best modern point and click adventure games out there. :)

Yeah, the Deponia games were a kind of like it or hate it kind of thing. Of the ones I've played, Anna's Quest and Night of the Rabbit are my personal favorites.
Way too expensive for an adventure game.
