Looks interesting. I'll put it on my wishlist.
Since this is a souls like game I will wait for Iron Pineapple and Vaatividya review for this game.

I admit, that I found this funny...
Still, it's an excellent release, and I'm glad that the dev/pub/GoG brought it over here!

Excellent! >air guitar<

Seriously though, I believe it might be really good for what it aims to be. I even like some of the locations at least. I'm just not into Souls-likes, and I'm not a fan of such grimdark settings. It's just too much, trying too hard for me.

But then I'm the kinda guy who thinks The Exorcist is hilarious and finds the "did I ever tell you my favorite color is blue" scene from In the Mouth of Madness scarier than the whole of Event Horizon.
Dark Souls is hard, to hard for me... that said this is Souls "like" enough with an easier to pick up fighting mechanic that its not to horribly hard... like Surge 2 level not Surge 1 if that makes sense. The fights are rewarding, the world is interesting and moving around and learning about the world/enemies makes you feel like your accomplishing something.

Very excited to finally see it here on GOG, cant wait to play it on PC, only had a few hours on console and really enjoyed it.

Different strokes, I won't judge! :)

But yeah, I like the art direction, the atmosphere can go either way for me though, actually, the art direction is usually 30% of my decision for buying a game!

It's been out on Epic for a year. Plenty of reviews out there.

Yeah, found out Sulightblade already reviewed it and it seems like it's a good one.

That's interesting experience. I spent a few hours with the demo, and even the basic grunts were absolutely killing me. ONE time I survived far enough to get to some kind of poison based miniboss... (and I finished both Surge games without big complications).

I DO plan to try again. I just expected the launch discount to be deeper, for a game that's been out for a year. On epic it has already seen -30%. Together with their free coupon shenanigans, I could have had it for about 1/3...

Getting The Virtuous Cycle thrown in for free for a limited time here on GoG isn't too shabby of an incentive, I'd say.

I can't fathom why someone would downvote those posts you made, Breja, Probably someone who was bored?
Soulslike games are not for me either, but I won't try to discourage others to play them. To each their own.

I noticed it. And also noticed it has the word "roguelike" in it's description, which is huge red flag for me. I don't mind loosing small bits of progress in soulslike fashion. Can't imagine loosing whole campaign to one mistake, or due to a cat jumping on me at the wrong moment. Chance is, only thing I'll get from it will be new shell for main campaign.
