I'm still curious how open (or not) those levels are going to be. So far they just look rather linear.
Question: on the other stores if you preorder you receive 2 exclusive katana swords, but here on GOG, you only receive one? Or do you also get those other two + the GOG exclusive one?
This video game looks at first sight like a clone of the already well-known game from Arkane Studios and Bethesda, ''Dishonored'' with a hint of CyberPunk, it's great!

The soundtrack sounds good, I just hope there's more tracks in the finished game.
Looks great, but I see 3D Realms and wonder if they're going to include parity. Will this version include the achievements and whatever bells and whistles they give the other version, or end up like Ion Maiden?
Looks interesting.
1 - 1 regional price conversion in Russia, thanks to 505 Games. Didn't know that it has the same production values as CP2077 and Metro Exodus. Sadly, a no buy. Why doesn't 3D Realms publish it as usual?
Does it have full body awareness (i.e. can you see your legs when you look down)?
That feature has slowly turned into a must for me in FPP games...

This game is a perfect example why sales are lost - Pre order exclusives. Even worse the devs had the "genius" idea to offer exclusive skins depending on where you buy it from.

A line from the Steam Announcement: You can pre-order Ghostrunner for exclusive access to two digital katanas, both unattainable after launch and one specially designed for Steam players.

This is exactly the kind of disgusting marketing that make say a big fat NO to buying this game, I'll save my money for someone who is more deserving.

Hi!
You are right in what you say, but you must also take into account that not all the blame or responsibility lies with the developer. If Steam offers a better contract, better distribution conditions, and a wider user or gamer base, it makes sense that there should be a better entry offer for a video game.
Don't you think so?

I don't think the distributor dictates which content should be offered as a pre-order, it's more of a developer side decision. Content should be available equally regardless where you're buying it from and how popular a store is, why should store A get content X while store B get content Y when you, as the customer are giving them the same amount.

Thankfully this stupidity is not as widespread (yet).

When I think of pre-orders I'd expect something for free or discounted which is then LATER added after the release at a cost. There's no point in making an item unattainable just because a customer didn't pre-order.

Personally I've turned down at least half a dozen of great games for this reason alone and I don't regret my choice.

You will get two (the special GOG Katana and a different one) for the GOG version as well =)

All that hand-wringing over some silly weapon skins. Oy vey!
