So, 8-bit Shovel Knight and this is NOT by Yacht Club Game?

What the actual fuck, GOG? And you proud yourself in your curation?!?
Yup, definitely looks like Shovel Knight's cousin. Not that that's a bad thing. ;) The more quality platform/action games (new or retro-flavored), the better. :)

My, my. Aren't we aggressive today.
If your point is "only Yacht Club Games is allowed to make NES-esque platform games," then yes, you have indeed made some kind of point, however it was wrong and bad. I never pre-order anything, but it seems like the sort of game I'd like, so if I hear the gameplay is good, I'll get it when it's released. Really can't see any issues with GOG's curation here.
Not crazy about paying now with nothing upfront (I prefer the 'in development' model), but I look forward to purchasing the game when it comes out.
This looks fantastic! Zoidberg knows nothing. Curation system should evolve. Washing my hands.
This looks hard. Maybe too hard for me.

Weird comment from Zoidberg. Its hardly the case that Shovel Knight invented this graphics style.

Oh come on, it's quite clear from the trailer that it isn't just the graphic style! FFS, open your goshdarn eyes! :D

And yeah, sure, call me aggressive instead of providing counter-arguments to my ripoff claim.
I'm going to have to agree with Zoidberg. The sprites and general artstyle are shockingly similar to Shovel Knight. (The music feels somewhat similar too, but I think that can slide.) In any case, I'm not going to judge until I know more about the game and details behind it. (There were plenty of games that ripped off Cave Story for graphics and style, including the early Momodora games, that eventually became their own.) Still it is rather questionable.

Exactly, even if the final experience is wholly different and well done, having such style/music/feeling so close to a successful existing game is bait, and questionable practice by itself.
