Watching Tactical Potato play this on Twitch right now, I'm really impressed with the animation and the sound, but what really sells me is the fact that it's the rare pixel-art game that actually commits to its low resolution.

I can see no anachronistic sub-pixel detail, everything snaps to the defined resolution when it rotates or distorts. This is the kind of commitment that makes me happy.
