LiquidOxygen80: 3 pages and Eli Vance gets a mention, but not Alyx? WHAT THE HELL, GUYS?! xD

omega64: She's black?
Half counts, guys. :P
Most games that let you costumize your character let you chose a black skin color. But I almost never do that, it just feel alien somehow. Which is kind of crazy, since I have no problem playing a space alien or even a woman.
You can choose to play as a black woman in Ultima Underworld. I don't know about the male options though.
Jonas Palmer and Star Paladin Cross from Fallout 3:

Cross is one of the my favorite companions in F3. :)

Also Adam and his brother from Streets of Rage series

There are many positive characters from any race/ethnicity in the games. And there are many bad guys from any race/ethnicity too. Enjoy the games and don't care about the colors.

To me 'bada## hero' = positive, so:

James Heller - Prototype 2
50 Cent - Blood on the Sand
Franklin - GTA V
Sam B - Dead Island

Most games I play are not ethnically specific - racing games, strategy games, simulators and rpg's.

Elmofongo: I like how you just casually replied to a post as if it was still in ongoing discussion. Especially to a user who probably has not been on the forums in awhile lately.

Decatonkeil: I'll just wait for his reply in the next 5 years. Will you celebrate with us the return of the necromancers then?
That was actually a Chris Rock reference.
