tinyE: Pardon me for asking Max, but doesn't Germany share a border with Poland? I would think you'd know a good deal about that yourself. Of course now that I think about it, I'm 30 miles from Canada and the only thing I know is that their flag has a leaf on it. :P

Tannath: Here's another: Queen Elizabeth II of England is Canada's head of state.
Aha, and her body stays in england? Well, that`s maybe the reason why the royals act so headless sometimes!
Sorry, couldn`t resist. :-))

JudasIscariot: JKM has managed to embarrass us even further than the last time since his rather infamous speech in the EU parliament about the youth of Europe? Oh my...
Speaking of JKM, I found it funny that Nigel Farage in the UK has been cuddling up to that prick all this time. The UKIP is hilarious - they keep claiming they're not extreme right, yet seem to consistently associate themselves with extreme right groups like Britain First, the EDL, PEGIDA, KORWIN and prattle out endless amounts of anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim and anti-semitic rhetoric.

It's absolutely fucking disgraceful how many of the British actually voted UKIP - by voting the extreme right, they've basically lost any right to criticise any European country - especially Germany - for its Nazi past.

I have to admit though, it can be easy being a member of a royal family in western Europe these days.

vsr: All i know from Russian media is that only 34% of people came to elections by 18:00. :)
That number is surely disappointing to someone who is used to 146% of people voting. :P

You are reading weak sources then.
This source says even with %
http://lenta.ru/news/2015/05/10/poland/
Komorovsky 32,3%
Duda 34,8%
Voted 49,4%
Poland gets second tour.

Anyway, took a lot of strength not to vote for her. Not kidding, that's this Magda Ogórek that Toyla mentioned. I'd rather want her to be a porn actress than our president, though.

The fuck are you talking about. Polish media stated that according to the electoral commission at 5 PM 34,41% of eligible people had voted. He was off by one hour (unless he was talking about local time in Moscow in which case he was completely correct :P).

Gog shows for me that he posted 2 hours ago, linked news with full results were posted 4 hours ago.
If he didin't get these news in 2 hours timeframe, he is reading weak sources.

So he mentioned what he had read several hours before posting and didn't feel like checking again. Has nothing to do with the quality of the sources and I sure as hell can't blame him for not wishing to stay up-to-date with the status of the Polish elections, especially considering that more than 50% of people here didn't give a rat's ass either. :P

Either way, the results of course aren't final. We will have them probably somewhere between tomorrow in the evening and wednesday.

By applying for membership of UKIP, I agree: [...] I am not and have never been a member of the British National Party, National Front, British Freedom Party, British People's Party, English Defence League, Britain First or the UK First Party.
(I have no intention of getting drawn into further discussion about UK politics. I just wanted to flag up that the facts are more complex. And no, I didn't vote UKIP.)

That's window dressing to fend off claims of extreme right affiliations. The reality is that UKIP don't really care where you come from - also, membership and voter base are two different things:

I said I wasn't going to get drawn into further discussion and I will stick to that--with one small exception: that one of your links has Nick Griffin saying 'I will hold nose & vote Ukip' is too entertaining not to point out. Like I said, the facts are complex.
