real.geizterfahr: What's happening here is that no one fucking cares what users do here anymore. TheEnigmatic-"We Don't want to moderate, so please keep it civil"-T had an eye on the forums and stepped in when it was necessary (and this seemed to be sufficient). Now that he's gone, we have no moderation at all.

A nice guy who participates in threads once in a while, but I think moderation doesn't belong to his tasks... Ciris once introduced herself as a community-something (for Facebook and Twitch), if I remember correctly. But I have no idea if the forum is (should be) her battlefield too.

Heh. Sounds like someone flipped through the Script Kiddie's Sourcebook.

Don't worry; if he does, your ISP will just dynamically null-route, filter the source IPs, and report the flood to the source ISP. Unless, you know, your ISP is still using routers from the 1990s, then they may have to null-route by hand XD

They need to make the forums someone's specific responsibility. This current hands-off "self regulating" approach worked fine in the early days, but it is becoming increasingly obvious that it no longer works and many, if not most, would prefer a firmer hand in the forums.

this is not funny at all. it's upsetting. i could care less about the bully his or herself, but the mods idleness is the problem here. The bully is merely a symptom.

It's not just idleness, its the appearance of not caring in the slightest about the user experience anymore. GOG used to hold up its "classy" community as one of the features of the service, but these days, they don't seem willing to do what is necessary to maintain that "classiness".

I think it's obvious what the only real solution would be: Make tinyE the moderator for this forum. I mean, he hangs around here pretty much 24/7 anyways. ;D
