Got it. You want me to try it, I don't want to see it everywhere I click on your site. It's an ad. Please tuck it away. Starting to resemble Steam around here.

It reminds you of Steam because of a simple purple banner on the website? I think you're pulling at one too many strings there pal.
Galaxy strikes me less as something about computer games and more a social networking tool, like Facebook made into a program.

It's at the heading of my library, and on every title I click. It's redundant and annoying advertising. Can't believe I got downvoted for wanting a less intrusive site on GOG. Holy shit.

It is not intrusive, you're just being a little over the top. Sure it is annoying but that is more to do with the colour of it if you ask me. Not everyone keeps up with the community pages to know about Galaxy so it benefits other people not just you.
I only see the banner on the front page, nowhere else...

Anyway relax, it's not like the banner is going to be there permanently or anything.

Galaxy as a concept is head-scratchingly ridiculous, and it almost seems to me like they're making the site as unintuitive and problematic as possible in order to push people into downloading and using it to unscrew the mess of it all.

I'm getting sick of seeing it being mentioned in general.

Seriously... it makes TOTAL SENSE
I'm aware it exists, but it hasn't changed how I interact with the site any. If anything the "BUY WITCHER 3 NOW" taking up the entire window on the main page is more in my face. ;)

I don't think the downvotes are for your opinion, as much as the fact that there have been any number of other threads in the same vein that you could have added to rather than starting a fresh one.

Though on the plus side, I think it's great that it's not a "Joe here I am add me as a friend!" thread. So +1 for that.
Installed it.
It's just uber-useless.
I'm rather indifferent to the new Galaxy client. I'm sure it's a great feature for some, but personally, I really never see myself downloading it.
As I learned recently, in Library at least you can click the "X" to close it and shouldn't see it again.

Thank you! +1

Unless you browse in 'incognito mode', in which case the setting to 'not see it again' is not saved, and you do see it again, every new browse session.
