Are there any games that, once you bought them, can you play them on steam instead of here? Kind of what humble dumble does
Cause I want to buy "Star Wars: Jedy Knight , Jedy Academy / Outcast" but I don't know if I will be able to play the online or so

ps: excuse me because of my english, I'm not a native english speaker
Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy have networking built in. You do not need an external program to play them online.

Humble is a Steam Key reseller.

GoG is it's own system.

Like apples and oranges. Two completely different things. Like the New York and Tokyo subway system.

Cross system multiplayer is on a game by game basis. I don;t find a list right off but a google search pulls up some discussion about individual games:

https://www.google.com/search?q=gog+games+you+can+play+with+steam+multiplayer

Hope this helps.
I wanna play ...... on my Xbox with my PS4 copy...

As Serren pointed out, Jedi Academy/Jedi Outcast use their own internal networking systems. They're not linked to Steamworks, so not only do you have exactly the same multiplayer experience as on Steam, you can also play with the people using the Steam version, as the GOG and Steam versions are absolutely identical.

Note that this isn't "cross-play" per se, but simply a common networking system from the pre-Steam/GOG era. There are a number of other more recent(ly updated) games that operate in a similar fashion: Torchlight 2 and Titan Quest.

There are certain GOG games that offer actual Galaxy/Steamworks cross-play: Grand Ages: Medieval, Rise of the Triad, Aliens vs. Predator Classic 2000, Double Dragon Trilogy, Worms World Party Remastered

Of course, with the older games, there's no guarantee that there's actually anyone still playing online nowadays...

Hi, GOG does not provide Steam keys because GOG and Steam are direct competitors. You will need to buy Steam games directly on Steam or from a Steam key reseller.

Humble is also an Uplay key seller, a GOG key seller, and its own system.

Really ? I haven't seen that often. Have I missed something ?
I have seen GOG keys on Humble before, BUT IT'S RARE.

I understand that but for the purposes of this question, they're two different companies and systems.

I did not want to confuser the poster even more.

For one, all the Witcher games come with a GOG key.

And then, I'm almost sure I got a GOG key with a few others, e.g. Retro City Rampage DX and Defender's Quest: Valley of the Forgotten. They don't seem to include it anymore, though.

Perhaps you got them in bundles?
Humble Bundle and Humble Store packages are not necessarily the same.
No, Defender's Quest definitely used to be distributed as a GOG key on Humble. Lars Doucet was a huge GOG advocate.

Retro City Rampage DX was never distributed as a GOG key though. I bought it from Humble upon release and it was in the form of a Humble-hosted DRM-free download and a Steam key.

See here (scroll down to the "DIGITAL" section). There are links to 2 different Humble widgets: one including a Steam key and another one including a GOG key.

This one I remembered well, as I discovered the "GOG" widget after I bought the "Steam" one, so I asked for a refund in order to purchase the former. :)
