Were you able to update it using the client? I was not.
Did you try doing what I suggested?
Also, consider just reinstalling the entire game, because the update was over 60 GB, so you're basically just installing a complete new version of the game.
How come users who use installers have to wait?
The offline installer will be out soon. It might be a couple days though, so check back often. The new version is in the automated queue to be built and will be released when it's ready.
Please understand that there's a lot of games on GOG, and whenever a new product (game or DLC), or patch gets released then those offline installers need to be built. It's not an instant process. Everything is put into an automated queue, and it's ready when it's ready.
When a game is newly released the offline-installer is almost always ready to go because games are already in the system ready and waiting for the release date. Patches are a different story so there's a slight delay from when it's available on Galaxy and when the offline installer version is available.
Ton and Արսեն, thank you.
Unbeknownst to me, I did have Patch 5 (when I saw version 4.1xxxx, I assumed that I was still on Patch 4. Sigh :) ).
That said, my PC typically crashes when I try to launch the game using the Larian launcher. Whether Vulcan or Direct X 11, it typically crashes my PC when I press 'Play'.
3900X, 32 GB RAM, GTX 3090. nVidia drivers are up to date. More than enough SSD space. Windows 10 is up to date.
I don't know what the issue is.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
