Greetings, folks. As you guys have no doubt found out, I am very fond of , even dropping them [url=http://www.gog.com/forum/general/ga_the_infinite_wonders_of_creation_mark_v/post54]without warning in the forums or in private message to any poor soul that dares talk to me (as poor drealmer7 found out).
While most of you seem to hate these things, I present a new kind of game, one that isn't competitive. What you will do is play as a jury, and determine the fate of some poor soul on the stand. However, to do this, I will need a jury! I will accept 12 participants. I make this post here rather than actually posting the mystery so far because I want to see if any of you actually want to do it.
Rules for signup are as follows:
1. First come, first served.
2. There will be no prizes for this one since I can't afford to give ALL of you something, so a willingness to play without receiving anything in return.
3. Constant activity is not necessary, but come voting time, you will be expected to cast your vote.
4. Be willing to solve a fairly big mystery, notes might be required.
5. Be willing to work together with other GOG members (but I'm sure you guys can handle this).
6. No insulting the Puzzlemaster unless done in a clever manner.
7. No poo flinging.

If this ends up successful, I'll make future games like this with added twists!

Participants:
1. Emachine9643
2. agentcarr16
3. ZFR
4. gamefood
5. sunshinecorp
6. madth3
7. Habanerose
8. mikopotato
9. popperik
10. Austrobogulator
11. 011284mm
12. bler144

Ladies and gentlemen, we now have a prize to offer! Many thanks to Austrobogulator for donating Toonstruck., which will be given out to some lucky puzzler on the basis of which I'll determine at some other time. Be sure to +1 him, thank him, pat him on the back, and give him general looks of "What the heck are you doing, man? Why are you giving it to ZEOGOLD, out of all people, to look after instead of just buying it for yourself?!" as often as possible!

SIGNUPS NOW CLOSED
Be patient, the puzzle will arrive soon. I think I'm moving the arrival date tomorrow to not overload poor miko with two puzzles at once. The title will be: "The Puzzlemaster's Court".

So, is this going to be the Gog version of 12 Angry Men?

Not sure if I'm in. I suppose I want to know more before I sign my life away.

I could maybe donate a prize though...

If you'd like to donate a prize, sure, I'll give it out either here or in one of my other mysteries.
What would you like to know more about? Ask me anything!

Well, I suppose I want to know how much time/effort this is going to take. I don't know if I'm ready for another Reckless Journey of Santa Clause type thing...

Also, I'm sure you don't want to give it away the details yet, but I don't want to sign up for something now, and then feel obliged to go along with it if it turns out to be something I'm not interested in participating in.

Oh, goodness, no. Nowhere near that long. I'm actually thinking of implementing a time limit, but I'm not sure about that yet. I want to see how much activity this gets first.
If it's any help to gauge by, mikopotato solved my first mystery in about 3 days.

Fair enough, you deserve to know what you're getting into.
You'll be solving a mystery, rather similar to the "Puzzlemaster's Mystery" series I linked to in the original post. The main difference will be that, instead of it being a contest, it will be 12 people working together, and very few hints will be given out, if any at all. Questions will probably be allowed, but might be limited, again, I'm not sure yet.

Sounds interesting. When do you plan to start this?
Time is available, but not always in such great supply.

Just as soon as I get 12 entrants. Like I said, my other mysteries so far have gotten a miserably poor amount of attention, so if this one follows that same track, I'm abandoning the idea. If not, I post soon after I log the 12th person.
Puzzle power bump.
What if the poo flinging is in self-defense?

Then I advise you fling puzzles instead. Much sharper, and thus much more effective for warding off baddies.
What the hell is it with you and notes?! This isn't Victorian England!

Come on, now, don't be intimidated! It'll feel like you get to solve a real mystery!
I mean, come on, I thought the GOG community, who's handled games such as Myst, Zork, and the unforgiving Sierra games would actually LIKE this kind of stuff!

okay..... count me in. But I'm not taking notes and I might be inebriated.

Ah, finally, our first participant. Let's see if we actually get any more.
Now that I think about it, notes might not be entirely necessary. Seeing as there will be open discussion, the thread itself could be used to keep track of ideas.
