I just happened to check the 'Upcoming' tab on the front page and noticed something peculiar as it lists 'Paranautical Activity' as coming soon. You know, that game removed from Steam because its dev was carelessly running his mouth and doing something so incredibly stupid and tweeting a semi-death threat towards Gabe Newell.

But that's beside the point. I'm actually interested in the game itself. I never cared much for developer shenanigans. Just like I still love watching Tom Cruise in movies despite the fact that he's otherwise kind of batshit crazy. Anyway, yeah, I'm looking forward to this. It always looked pretty nice to me, but I don't do early access... ever! So it'll be nice when it comes here as a finished product.

Speaking of roguelike FPSeses: Care to get Ziggurat here, GOG?

Fun fact. The reason the developer went all mad on Gabe was because, according to him, Steam didn't flip the switch from early access to final game at the precise time he wanted for the game's launch (mid-late October).

Is there anything you don't know? I mean, what are you? :P
It looks like Lego Doom.

Not to be confused with Lorna Doom not to be confused with Thulsa Doom.

The he quit the company, couldn't hold a job, and went crawling back to his company.
NO STEAM, NO SALE :P

Last I heard he was on tour with X.
Have it on Desura. Havent played it though. Is this game overhyped?

The guy's a dick, I doubt he had any intention of leaving permanently. It was probably just a ruse to get the game back on Steam.

Love how it was all about 'not fair to the team' for him to stay and ruin relationships like that but when it came down to it he couldn't care less apparently.

Loved this hilarious moment in the next Prison Architect Alpha video after that removal happened though :p

While I'm somewhat sympathetic towards the developer and his Steamy issues (anger-induced death threats are such serious business, that's why all of us are in prison...oh wait), I have nothing positive to say about the development process or the game. I've played it while it was still in "alpha funding", and I've played it after it was "finished", and aside from inexplicable interface issues (that the dev hilariously blamed on Unity, despite there being tons of other Unity games that didn't have those same issues) that eventually got half-fixed, the gameplay remained the same. In a word, boring. Procedural level generation translated into the most unimaginative level layout possible, and the shooting itself just isn't satisfying. Your impressive gun pew-pews. When you hit something, you don't really have the feeling something happened. There's no "impact". Think blasting a Cacodemon with the super shotgun in Doom 2. It really felt like you did some damage. Here it's pew-pew until critter vanishes. Even its pixelated (voxelated?) gibs are a joyless affair. To call it lukewarm would be overstating the excitement.

Does it come with a steam key?
Also dont forget its just not the steam thing , the dev was also rude to his customers and lashed out at them on the forums.
The dev really was a drama queen "steam kicked me out " " i am leaving" "i sold my ip off" "i am coming back " . He still hasn't learnt a thing , i think gog are only degrading themselves by allowing to release here , mark my words he will spew nonsense on gog too.Is gog that desperate to release games drm free?

This is the person whom you are throwing your money at , its a disgrace to every other good game that's released out here on gog
