GameRager: As for the game/to get back ontopic: I wonder when the game will start and how fun it will be....
I was going to give it at least a week for players to sign up. So it will start some time in the coming week, after the weekend.

As for how fun it will be: I hope it will be fun.
I just thought of two more roles that would fit the flavour:

Reporter (Survivor) - Neutral role that just wants to watch the conference to the end. Wins if he isn't thrown out until the end, no matter which side wins. Loses if he's thrown out.

Gun Mule (limited Doctor) - someone who carries a gun more than he needs. Can check on someone at the end of the coffeebreak and lend him one gun, should that someone have lost his. After such a successful save, the gun will be gone. So it would be a 1-shot Doctor, only that the one shot isn't used up if the protection target wasn't targeted by the Pacifists.

Sounds good.....the reporter should gte a fun name(revealed at end of game or if they are "killed") as well. Same with gun mule.

Fun never stops when I'm around.

That's a cool idea, I like it. It's definitely stronger than a normal 1-shot doc. Because of the mechanics, I guess they'd know once they'd given their gun to someone, so they'd know that they'd successfully protected someone. Most docs would assume on a night with no kill that it was because they'd protected someone, but this makes it a bit more specific.

Which probably hard confirms both of them. This is not a weak role.

EDIT:
Hmmm... A really gutsy mafia could have one of them claim cop, then actually NK that someone to draw the Doc protection and further confirm him when the protection gets used up.

Yes, it is a strong role. But one that doesn't allow 'follow the cop' should a cop be there too, because the Gun Mule can only protect successfully once. Of course he wouldn't be able to self-target, because when all his guns get stolen, he can't lend himself another one. :-)

One important question to all: what do you prefer, a game with only a few PRs (if any), which is easier to balance. Or do you prefer to have lots of PRs, which may make the game swingy, but maybe also more exciting?

How so? Only the doc and Mafia know it worked and exactly who was targeted.

And then they find themselves a man down because the doc tried to second guess them and delayed a day in offering protection. :)
I'm a bit torn myself. I like strategic games with just a few PRs myself. But I'm also tempted to play around with as many of the new flavoured roles as possible. :-)

Swingy and exciting! Balance is boring.

Which one was the Yes for?

I was thinking Doc claiming immediately. No hard confirmation, but difficult to disprove by scum.

Seriously: either is good for me.

I bet the unbeatable duo could pull it off. Anyway, it gives a legit reason to shoot at yourself.
