After being overhauled, the new functions of the game shelf may be helpful to some users. :)
I, however, find that all in all the game shelf has been changed for worse:
That's because of the removal of the game covers on your shelf
And because of the lack of manual sorting

Everyone who considers manual sorting one of the shelf's vital functions may want to vote for its return here:

Still, I believe - as do probably most - that it is very unlikely that we'll see manual sorting again.
If that's the case then we can choose one of the following:
-We can either give up on manual sorting
-Or we can create our own game shelf!
Anyone who wants to create his own game shelf (either by writing a program or just by making a image file...) might find the png-files I attached to this post helpful.

The png-files' purpose is to simplify making your game shelf. With a picture editing program such as Gimp you can insert the "goggame" files into the "gogshelf" file. Then you will have to replace the blue rectangle with a game cover of the right size. The "optional transparent border" file can be used to make the edges of your cover brighter as they were on the old shelf. :)
If you haven't got any covers for your games then you may want to look in this thread:

Please feel free to share anyhing you found useful for creating the perfect user experience with your game shelf. :)
