When shuffling icons back and forth on my desktop (not Metro) I sometimes accidentally scroll like an Android cell phone. Was wondering if anyone here knew how to stop that from happening?

Having a hard time pulling up an answer in Google.

What do you mean by "scrolliing"? I don't remember having any problem of that sort.

Considering Win8 doesn't natively support multiple desktops, there is the possibility that you are using a larger resolution than your monitor supports and have panning enabled. If you mean something else, you'd have to better explain what you mean by "like an Android".

If you click and hold a shortcut on desktop and then take your cursor to either side of the screen and hold it for a second...it scrolls to a clean desktop so you can fill the whole thing with icons if you want to and just scroll back and forth between two different desktop setups.

It's intentional because during the scroll there are three buttons on the bottom of the screen lighting up to show you which of the three desktops you are currently in; Left, Center, Right.

Sounds like you've got something weird installed, that isn't part of Windows 8. Not accusing you of installing it mind, could be OEM bloatware or something but it's definitely not normal for Windows 8 to do that...

Not part of Windows. Check for Desktop 2.0, Dexpot, VirtuaWin, Virtual Dimension or nSpaces.
