So I totally forgot about the codes I got from the Summer Sale. Since SimCity2000 was the only game I did not have had I will give away the other 2:

- S.t.a.l.k.e.r. Clear Sky
- Xenonauts
- SimCity2000(a donation by Spinorial, so please a thumbs up for him)

And I'll add also:

- Shadowrun Returns(GOG)

This Giveaway will close tomorrow, so be fast, just write I am in.

A short opinion if you did like the Summer sale format ( I did not like really like it and think the earlier ones were better) would be great, but is not necessary.

Rules:

- in for yourself only
- no trading
- general forum participation outside of giveaways
- join date March 2015 or prior
- 25+ rep

Not in, but +1 for the giveaway. Thnx
Nuclear Alien Hell?

No thanks, I've already been to St. Louis. :D *rimshot*
Nice Giveaway. I am in for Shadowrun Returns.

The selection of games was diversified, but I agree it missed something. I think that Insomnia sale - though hated by many has element of surprise and fits GOG better.
I'm in for Xenonauts.

I liked the Summer Sale allright, definately much more than the insomnia sales. Plenty of good game on sale, new releases, bundles... no complaints from me. Honestly I can't really remember how different the other (not-insomnia) sales were from this Summer Sale.

Not in.

I thought the format was fine, but thought it went on too long.

What's wrong with that? Gave more people a chance to get everything they wanted.
I feel like it's been ages since I've entered a good ole giv'way, so sure, I'm in! I'll try my luck for Xenonauts.

The sale was quite good, I felt, with a fair number of great deals. The presentation was a little disorganised, with that sprawling metro-wall of offers, but it's effectiveness will be judged by GOG's own sales figures rather than anything I can opine. As a consumer, I was happy that I could find a bundle to my liking. Yes, I did say there were many great deals, but I'm a rather frugal consumer, and generally like to find those one or two deals that feel like an absolute steal - usually some bundle that I already have parts of and like the overall theme of. This time, it was the weird Interplay one (the Shiny pack, as I thought of it). The CAD conversion at checkout made things a bit more sour, but not enough ;)

There is also the spectator aspect to these sales. I love to just watch the Insomnia dynamics and the quirky anecdotes that occasionally come from them. Unfortunately, there was none of that to be had here. Indeed, as the metro wall updated, I was never quite sure when the bottom-most deals would expire - a little info there would have been nice. Also, I had hoped to see CDP leverage its in-demand position with a GOG-exclusive discount on Wild Hunt, maybe even try to sneak a sale after the Steam ones, but I guess even TW3 can't budge the existing market prerogatives. Oh well, still a great sales I thought.

Finally, while I wasn't nearly spendy enough to get to the Xenonauts tier (which happened to be the only unlock that I had an interest in), I did get an extra key for SimCity 2000. At present, I have no idea how I'll find a good recipient for it in the short time until it expires, so feel free to chuck it in with the other games in the giveaway. One day probably won't be enough, but it still fits nicely with the theme ;)

My impression was the same, the upper sales part of the page looked disorganised and I did not like the repeats very much, as the repeat circle lasted very long. And I had the feeling that the average sales sell price was higher than I am used to on GOG, but that may be because GOG as many new games which average between 15-25 €.

Thank you very much for your donation of the SimCity2000 game, I will add it to the list.

On the one hand, it was nice to have a slower paced sale for a change, still providing a summer sale feeling with new games twice a day, but on the other hand, the repeats were a complete bore. If they'd cut the sale's second half, it would have been a nice event, but starting to rotate the offers in an already slow sale, with a grand finale celebrating the repeat of all repeats, was, well, not that thrilling.

Not in, but thanks for the giveaway! +1
Not in, but thank you very much for your generosity. Sadly i couldn´t participate of the summer sale because my internet conection was broken for about two and a half months.
i'm in for shadowrun.

i loved the format of this summer sale, the other sales were too fast and double insomnia was hell! but i didn't like the low discounts of this summer sale, i have the impression that the last summer sale had much higher discounts.
Thanks for this and I'm in for S.t.a.l.k.e.r. Clear Sky

I used to have the box years ago but destroyed dvd when I finished playing the game being upset with the quality from GSC.

If you wondering why I would want it again its to complete my collection. Good to have it again if you don't mind thanks.
Very generous of you! In for Shadowrun Returns
