IronArcturus: Yeah, Gun really went under the radar. But I think if GOG gave it another chance it would sell well.
Will Activision give GOG another chance, though? 30 months with no game of theirs isn't a particularly good sign.

Well it did take years for the LucasArts games to come to GOG. So maybe it won't be impossible...
I remember, I finished it last year.
I posted about it somewhere in that 'Games completed in 2014' thread.
Decent game.
not so much a case of 'remember' it, as it is still being sold...

was £2.50 UK monies a couple of months back, even. Goes on sale every now and then.
I had played it a bit but disliked it. The horseback motorraces felt wrong, the shooting parts felt a bit flat, a bit railshooting-ish. Maybe it would have got better later on, but, as far as I've played, it didn't click at all. And yet I was starved for Old West shooters (a sadly under-used setting, in video games).

This isn't the same, though. LucasArts is new on GOG, while Activision abruptly stopped releasing their games here after a while.

But did they give a reason why? Wasn't there some other company that temporarily stopped releasing games on GOG then they started again?

Well, apparently the contracts are made for batches of games which then get released over a longer time period. It's probably not that Activision suddenly changed its mind but rather that all games covered by the initial deal have been already released here and a new one hasn't been made yet. Of course there's a chance that Activision doesn't want another deal with GOG but that we haven't had an Activision title in a long time doesn't necessarily mean that.

No reason. Same with Ubisoft and (to a lesser extent), EA.

Two as a matter of fact; 1C and Interplay.

Well, there were the Jowood games which switched owners, remained here (or came back after disappearing shortly) with Nordic Games as the new publisher, then Nordic left GOG after the introduction of regional pricing, came back for one promo and disappeared again. Don't know about another publisher who temporarily left GOG.

Many maybes. The fact that we haven't received Mac versions for a single Activision game doesn't look like there was any kind of (successful) renegotiation.

tfishell: I thought he might curse us by mentioning we haven't received an Activision release in over 2 years. (It's similar to mentioning Gaben's weight and HL3 being delayed an extra month.)

EDIT: It's also possible it's not here because it's $20 on Steam.

Grargar: Do you know what other Activision-published game costs $20 on Steam? Vampire the Masquerade - Bloodlines.
Right, that was my point; it's generally believed we didn't get VTMB back when GOG was Good Old Games because it was higher than the 5.99 and 9.99 price points.

Back then, possibly. Now? Now, we have Pillars of Eternity - Royal Edition. :P
Even if we limit ourselves to old games, there is still SimCity 4 and Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, with each costing $20.

I still wish GOG could get SimCity 3000. I've never played that sequel before, but it looked pretty cool.
