Happy 5th of July!

(Also, happy LGBT Wrath Month!)
Honest question: what is LGBTQ wrath month? Also I've seen numerous happy pride month wishes on FB but wasn't that last month or do you American have a different pride month to us Europeans or is my sense of time just completely fucked up?

It's a joke here.

Pride, as you know, is one of what some religions call the 7 deadly sins. Wrath is another of them.

In the US, June is LGBTQ pride month, as it is in late June (June 28, 1969, to be precise) that the Stonewall Riots, considered a povotal event in the LGBTQ rights movement, took place. (I note that a certain UK organization got its name from this event.)

Except that it wasn't the Constitution that I used as input; I used the Declaration of Independence.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up. I guess I shouldn't post late at night when I can miss something that obvious: pride, wrath, sloth (my favourite sin) etc. I remember seeing a documentary about Stonewall and the bar there and the fights during the 60ies and 70ies for gay rights there. Fascinating stuff. But yes, happy sloth month to you, dtgreene :-)

And thank you for your kind response.

morolf: unpatriotic

morolf: bad.
I fail to connect both notions.

Especially when they're supposed to function together the exact same way as "blasphemy" (don't even dare touching the holy scriptures for they are holy).
