Linko64: We're in agreement. I'd hope GoG would read the forums and use it as means to help improve, rather than tweeting out stock gifs and ignore fundamental issues growing
You will be hoping for a long time then.

Linko64: I'd assume, given there's a sale, there's a huge log of tickets
GOG? Sale? When the hell does that happen? Never

Guess with that huge log of support tickets some of them will be lost to the EPIC winds.

He can continue to hope and wish in one of his hands and It'll probably be alright as long as he doesn't crap in the other...

assumptions:
If tickets are not going trough system it will go trough forum or other uncontrollable ways.
more volunteers/employees needed, system improvements necessary, questionnaires about `people`s expectations` implementation crucial,

19th November is Cyberpunk 2077 premiere it has its own forum, and channels , there are a bit more than 20 people or more than a bit

yet I`m lost and haven`t discovered how gog is run and why it does not receiving necessary support to keep people happy, just sayin, if that is a case a load of sad people would weight down gog, and gog would weight down cdp, and that way gogs future is unsure for me, until I see everyday presence of someone called forum keeper someone official, encouraging people to talk about games, gogs future, ways of playing and some technical stuff I will be unsure where I actually am and what is going on, just sayin

There is no forum keeper.

You will either see a mod which knows as much as we do.

Or a block of Blue text (which is rare) they are GOG Staff and even then they will say things and GOG does other things or nothing.

Once you get to know that you will usually get less disappointed each time, though on the off chance GOG do something really silly (Epic) it will take it to a new low.
I recently (a couple weeks ago I think) had an issue getting a game to run so I tried support. I got the automated reply that they are really backlogged and it could take weeks (considering they sell globally and the pandemic has caused an increase in game sales this was not surprising). I guess I was just lucky in that a day or two after submitting the ticket I got a response and they helped me solve the problem pretty quickly. They are out there; I hope you all get the answers you need and have better results in the future. I also hope you will not encounter any further problems that require support.

We had a good one (imo) who actually cared and GOG kicked him ... now all we have are a few community forum mods and GOG staff that in most cases is too busy to post much more than PR ... it's a tragedy.

We have had several decent forum people here. But I thought they answered to elcook who much like most vanished and as far as I'm aware is still the PR guy who doesn't seem to be doing much PR.

The thing is we know a lot, especially about games.
Fair enough. That is why he or she should be one of us, with at least 3 years activities on this forum.
Voted on forum by people, that is it, no magic tricks. No fear for other forums and channels, gogs forum is very here and is watched like never before by worldwide military services to spot on hackers ... and hire, but first check who is trying to hire you as there are lot of jokers and that even might be your colleague.
anyway...

This Forum Keeper could have a:
❀ special channel with GOGs HQ, to be a link between between people and company
☺ to "talk and joke and feel free like in the past"
☃☃ special computer (secured a byte), best thing is to have two computers, public and private
♡ and generally be special, you are very special,
☀ but again, voted by people on this forum

and if one is not enough then let`s choose three people every three months.

I would not suggest it again.
Thank You!

I suspect there's more to it than being busy. I think they're pretty much gagged. Those who remember the last PR disaster (if you can really call it that) also remember that that's around when all the blues stopped posting altogether except on strictly moderation & support issues (along with the occasional PR statement). I have a hard time believing people like Judas (who had been active and useful since the beginning) all of a sudden got too busy to post right after Linko90 was fired.

Of course you are right. The "too busy" part was meant to be sarcastic by me - should have made that more clear, sorry.

FTFY.

RoboPond: But they have been struggling for ages (which is surprising seeing as if you ask them about a game usually you get a use Galaxy response.)

And the fact they are struggling even after a general sale is one of the many reasons as to why they should not be providing support for Epic games.

That last line is for me a very important issue. They seem more interested in posting memes instead of having 5 seconds to answer a legitimate question/inform about support delays.

Hey, I am going to reply here as well, as some of you might have not seen my colleague's reply here.

We do understand your frustration about delays in our Support replies, and we sincerely apologize for it. We are currently overwhelmed with the high amount of ticket volumes and because of that, we had to create a list of priorities (e.g. refunds have a higher priority over username changes etc) - that's indeed true. However, said priorities have nothing to do with the user using our GOG GALAXY app or not.

Support team answers every single request, but if you think that your own submission was overlooked, please write to me directly and I will investigate what happened. I know that this solution is not the best, but we're truly doing what we can to provide the best support possible, but currently facing a big backlog it's harder than usual.

I would like to also let you know that we are reading your feedback about not replying to your posts on the forums very often and we are working on it. Hopefully you'll see visible improvements in that regard soon.

Thank you for your reply. It is very much appreciated.
I really hope that GOG will find its way back to proper communication with their customers and I want to believe here. Unfortunately I am waiting for years know for this to happen (yes, since long before the pandemic) and so far not much happened. So, yes ... I am always ready to be surprised and everybody deserves a new chance imo but it's getting harder and harder to believe without actual actions. Fingers crossed this will end up being more than well meant words.
