Absolutely LOVE No Man's Sky. Been playing it since it was first released here on GoG and have never been disappointed. The continuous updates over the years have been absolutely AMAZING!

Now, if you'll please excuse me I am going to grow my own fleet.

Just add water!
I've been playing No Man's Sky since its original launch, and it just keeps getting better. I can't wait to sink into this update.

May I ask...

I played this offline on console.

Does the GOG version have a population?

One thing I learned from playing offline (on release) was that I needed some interaction with others for it to be engaging.
Hm, interesting! My attention kind of drifted elsewhere to other games but will definitely reinstall NMS and take a gander.
Lemme know when they implement massive capital ship battles where "I can join in, I can take sides" like they promised at E3 way back.

Yes it does!

There's a Hub, where you will find people and can start different missions with them.

The hub can be spawned in any star system.

I love this game and I love this devs!! <3

Thank you for all the updates!!

I know multiplayer's great and all, but my internet has been shit lately making multiplayer impossible; is this locked behind multiplayer?
I sure wish they would introduce Crossplay with Steam.

I do not think so. I checked it out to see if they finally added a batch of new body types (they did not) and got a mission pop up. I can't guarantee its that but I have a really hard time believing that they hide something like that behind mandatory multiplayer.

Good, thanks for the confirmation; yeah, I didn't think they would but was not 100%... I did start playing yet did not see anything so far, I'll simply play normally until I get a notification then!

There is that massive ship base thing that keeps following you around with the two guys which gave quests in the past. That would be my first stop for any new things.

I have not played since a patch after NEXT so I'm not quite up to date.
I hope they also fixed the item duplication wrt containers. Routinely getting duplicate stacks of stuff I have already sold or from my current inventory may be good source of money, but it's also pretty annoying (and sign of poor QA, it happens frequently enough that it SHOULDN'T have slipped through).

No, you can play absolutely offline and solo
