I have 265 games from GOG and none of them work correctly or at all. The ones that I get on will either have no sound, will crash without any error info, won't even launch or will freeze and won't allow task menu to open. I have downloaded from galaxy and the web site, have re-installed everything multiple times, I even reset my system to be fresh and still all the same. Are the games from GOG not compatible with windows 10 even if you mess with the configurations? Are the files from GOG just that bad and crappy? Is the company a scam company? Is that why they have so many sales? Do they say "Hey you get what you pay for. What 60% off, you only get 40% of the files."

You tried every single game and none of them work correctly? That sounds more like PEBKAC. Make sure you have all of the necessary runtimes installed. Hard to say what else to try since you didn't mention any of the games.

Yeah, GOG, what is really going on here? Right now I have about 170 Windows games installed from your store and almost all work perfectly under Linux! How is this possible? Why are these games working on an OS they weren't designed for in the first place. I demand an immediate explanation!
Try installing Steam and download/play some free games from there. That'd narrow down whether this is a GOG-related issue at all.

If every single game doesn't work it sounds like something has borked your Windows system. Also try using the offline installers.
Truth be told, there are games in the offer (esp. older) that up to this day still are not (officialy) adjusted to Windows 10. Doesn't mean they won't work, but as I've experienced, in case of any technical problems with those, tech support is answering "sorry, but this title is not compatible with Win10", end of story).

Please, give us at least a couple of titles that caused you a problems and describe and what's happening, maybe we'll find together some solution.

There was a history with some of the windows 10 updates in the past that prevented offline installers from working normally. If you didn't have any crucial issues with gog games previously try to check recent windows updates and find out what update might cause the problems with the games.

So after noticing that the first five games you tested did not work, you still bought 260 extra games?
is this a troll post? :D
GOG is an elaborate scam. They have been selling working games to people for a decade just to lull the OP into a false sense of security so they can sell duds to them.

Well,...I wouldn't call 129 hours "not working at all"...unless you want to tell us, all these hours were spent trying to get the games to run, and then you played:

"Valhalla Hills" for 3hrs44min,
"HoMM" for 2hrs55min, and
"Full Throttle Remastered" for 2hrs,

without any sound, etc.

GoG is not a scam.
GoG do not have materially more sales than other online stores
GoG games are compatible with Windows 10 unless otherwise stated on the game card. Even then, you've got a good chance of making them work.

Your post isn't helping your case here. I just don't believe that you have purchased 265 games and "none of them work correctly or at all" - it's not a plausible scenario (nobody buys this many games without testing at least some of them). Equally, you can't say for certain none of them work - unless you've tested all 265, which again is unlikely (as there's a point before that where you would stop buying games).

There may be one or two where there are specific issues that the community can help with, but you need to provide details on the game, error encountered, frequency and system configuration. That being said, if you are experiencing issues wholesale with GoG games, the two most likely culprits are:

1) Hardware issues
2) User error

Okay, because you have that many games at GOG according to your profile and because you have been a member since 2018, I am going to take you seriously, though several others here have brought up quite obvious and logical issues.

First off, there might be something on your PC, that is causing your problem.

Secondly, even though PCs are much better these days, you can still get compatibility issue with hardware and drivers. A PC isn't a game console where everything has been included and tested to work well with games. In fact, those making games for consoles, use them to test their games, so very few variables to give users a problem.

Thirdly, we don' know what sort of PC and specs you are using .... Desktop or Laptop, amount of RAM, processor etc.

Maybe you have updated to your current PC or specs recently, and before that your games worked fine or most of them?

We need a lot more information than you are giving.

You are either not telling the truth, supremely incompetent, or a combo of both. With 700+ GOG games in my collection, I've had maybe two dozen that I couldn't get to play correctly, and another 20 or so that I just didn't like. In each case, GOG promptly refunded my money. Their refund policy is one of the best around (unconditional 30 day).

So either fess up and tell the truth, or get a Switch (a simple system for simple people). In either case, yer wasting our time, kid.
