Just finished @ 48 hours of game play. ( have over 1000 hours of game play such as this.) The key is to save ALOT. or?. Well, just visited the islands, save every fast travel sign, all of a sudden, every game that I thought I had saved .....was gone. Has anybody had a problem of saving games (f5) seeing the game save sign on the screen.. and not actually having the game saved. About blew a circuit when I had played 3-4 hours saving regularly..and then trying to load a saved game.. only to find...nothing had been saved. I thought maybe it was my computer.. but when I actually saw the game saved at the top if the screen..never had thought to make sure it really was saved. Any one out there have the same problem????

What islands have you been visiting? Sounds like Jamaica judging by the post..

Faster than Light? You can save in that game? When did that happen?!? Also, how do you reach the 2nd island? I'm stuck at the orc merchant at the harbor. I can't get him to sell me a ship at an affordable price :P

Are you playing with a non-admin account? I've had this issue where the save files are stored under the admin account because you have to install with admin privileges, but are playing with a non-admin account. If this is the case, you can often restore your progress by moving the save files from the admin account save location to your regular user account filer hierarchy.

48 hours.

Well, Descent is out.
Duke 3D is a big "NO".
Drox maybe but after 48 hours most people are still on the 1st room and wouldn't need to save.

Hmmm, I give up.

Funny Mike!! HA HA! I was on the mainland in Novigard, took the ship to skellige islands, went to the funeral, died trying to get the mask, tried to go back to when I arrived on the island.. only to find out that ALL the quick savesw that I had made since I had arrived on the island to include how I got there was not there. I have never had a problem with the quick save...to which is needed ALL the time. Any reliable assistance to this problem??

By the way, here is the Witcher 3 subforum. You might have a better chance at getting a decent answer there, rather than in the general forum.
