It'd be cool to have it here, if for no other reason than making more people aware of it -- not that I'd buy it if it were here. :P

I also think it's funny that Mr. Gray's still asking $12.00 for the "trilogy" (three episodes) on his own website -- especially since I get the impression that the DOS version doesn't come with a preconfigured DOSbox.

Kipper: And according the author, it is on GOG not having it here.
Maybe it is the asking price. The author sells the trilogy for 12 Dollars and "Nightmare 3D" for 10 Dollars alone (last I checked). That could mean he wishes to sell it here for a price GOG would not be able to accept (8 Dollars or so?).
I've talked to David in the past, if I remember I'll email him tomorrow and see what he can say. The game really shouldn't be more than 5.99 should it.

You can also contact GOG Support with feedback/a message encouraging releases (just don't expect a response for a while since I imagine Support is still swamped, and you'll likely get a generic "bringing games here can be complex, watch this Marcin video" response at first) - https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?form=other&product=gog

heard back from David and got permission to share his email:

"Thanks for getting in touch. GOG never actually said why they accepted Hugo but not Nitemare-3D so I don't know.

Yes, the Nitemare-3D game comes with both Windows and DOS editions, but you're right, being 16-bit software you have to use DOSBox on 64-bit Windows.

Thanks for the suggestion on price, I agree and I've just changed both games to $6 at https://www.dgray.com/retro.htm and I've also added some instructions for using DOSBox on the Nitemare-3D page under 'System requirements'. Hit your browser's refresh button if you don't see the changes."

Damn it, and I am broke until june.

Good that he lowered the price though
I added my vote! I'd love to get this game here. I've beaten Wolfenstein 3D, Spear of Destiny and both Blake Stone games. My heart desires more ;)
I can't add my voice since I voted a long time ago. As for the "compatibility issues" the game works just fine in DOSBox, however not as smooth as Wolfenstein 3D, Rise of the Triad or Doom games.
Tell Gray to ask GOG about selling it here, again. He should communicate the new price and tell them about the 2 versions. Maybe NOW they will put it into the shop, as oldschool FPS are on the roll again.

I did try to encourage communications between them again, I'd appreciate if those enthusiastic about this title would also contact Gray and maybe even message GOG Support.

Nitemare 3D is selling for $6 for all three episodes + hint booklet on David P. Gray's website. It runs great with Win 8, not sure about Win10 though.

Begs me a question what is exactly the reason this is not here. Especially seeing Super Noahs Ark 3D here (which I bought). Must be something with the author wanting a bigger piece of the cake than GOG is willing to give.

You may have answered the question already in your first post:

According to the author himself, David P. Gray, he has offered this but GOG has declined (mostly because of compatibility issues).

"Super Noah's Ark 3D" mentions on its store page: "Works on: Windows (7, 8, 10)" .
Maybe Nitemare 3D doesn't work on Win 10?

Tbh: I don't keep records on which games GOG has released lately and whether they all mention "Works on: Windows (10)" on their shop pages, but I can understand if GOG requires new released (old) games to run on the most modern Windows available.

Yes, it does need some overhauling which neither party seems willing to do. Unless GOG or Gray does something, this is something we have to go by with. :/
