Pardinuz: Not sure if this is good or if it means they'll just focus on mobile and make crappy ports for PC.
not for a while
unless sega at the time ( and now ) nintendo isnt in dire financial straits
Is any of this going to lead to Wind Waker and Luigi's Mansion being ported to PC?

Bicro: We're all sad, bro. It's time to mourn, because it's all downhill from here.

Anyone wanna do some end-of-the-world shots in the meantime?

Only if I can take a selfie with Ganondorf.

Wait. Before we get there, let me take a selfie! Hahahahaha!!!

...in all seriousness what's up with games adding this "selfie" screenshot feature? World of Warcraft being the latest example... so odd.

Entropy is all going there. We better finish up the classics before the awful news gets here.

HiPhish: For f's sake, what is people's obsession over Nintendo making games for smartphones? All that will happen will be companion apps as a form of marketing. That has already been announced months ago.
Pretty much. If there's going to be any sort of game app from this thing it's probably going to be the same as Pokemon Shuffle or any other mini project that Nintendo or a third party puts up on the eShop. I have serious doubts Nintendo is ever going to consider putting any of their newer or older titles on Steam or any other service/platform because of this. It's just something for the shareholders, and it seems to be working.

I've got good news for you, as it turns out neither Game Freak nor the actual Pokemon company have any qualms with mobile games.

And I for one welcome and embrace the future where Pokemon is not restricted to a single device and doesn't look like it was restricted to PS1 level hardware either.

So we're basically going to get more stuff like this instead of mid/upper tier projects like Kid Icarus: Uprising or a phone version of a previous or newer generation of Pokemon. Yeah, I'm still not buying this as anything to be excited or freaking out about. Wake me up when they actually bring something to the mobile space or Steam space instead of the typical mobile stuff that King and other devs on the iOS and Android market make on a daily basis.

I don't think it's just for shareholders, I think they are being serious about this. Remember that during the NES era Nintendo had its presence in all sorts of fields: cartoons, movies, toys, magazines, books, even breakfast cereals. Nintendo, like any video game company, is not just competing with other video game companies, they are competing with every form of entertainment for people's time.
