One could say that GOG Galaxy is a simply stellar platform.

These past couple of days have been full of good news here at the office! First, our partners in crime CD PROJEKT RED told the world that 4 million copies of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt have been sold. Now we’re here to announce that in the first two weeks almost 700 thousand gamers worldwide have gone with GOG Galaxy as their monster-huntin’ platform - more than all other PC options combined!

Headcount: Over 693,000 gamers worldwide
Volume: Over 21.5 petabytes of game and bonus content
Achievements: 3.5 million unlocked
Combined game time: 1,770 years (that’s 646,479 full 24-hour days)

See the video below for more stats about The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on GOG.com!

It's really great to see that the majority of gamers chose GOG as their preferred plattform. This is really a great signal and achievment for DRM free gaming. Congratulations and a big thanks to you guys for making this possible!!!
I hated your install process. It had me install the game twice and I'm afraid to unistall one of the versions for fear of messing up my current game. You needed to copy the Steam install process and then make it easier. OTOH, it never has been "easy" to install a GOG game.

fortune_p_dawg: That guy talking in the video sounds like Jean Claude Van Damme during his motivational speech in the 1994 film classic Street Fighter. I was waiting for him to bust out with an "there's those want to go Steam and those who want to go with ME!"

Lol!

Cypisss: His voice. Damn. I want that voice.
But do you want ... HEEZ NUTTZ?

bleclair: And the next big increase of Galaxy users will be with Witcher 4. ;-)
Shoo, shoo! We're dead to you.

GodOfUrging: True enough. But the back-up thing is a very annoying little convenience for me right now. I'm buying a new PC, as the current one is getting old. But no matter what I do, it looks like I'll have to re-download Witcher 3. Which wouldn't be that big a problem with higher download speeds.

BKGaming: Why not just transfer it with a flash drive or Ethernet cable... then scan and import the folder into Galaxy? Galaxy can do that...
Wait, it can? That's good to know. Thanks, you saved me a long download.

Yep click the little "+" symbol up top and then click Scan and Import... first put the Witcher 3 files in the same location you are going to install all your GOG games on the new PC, then make sure Galaxy is set to that same location in the settings (default being C:\GOG Games), then do the Scan/Import and find the Witcher 3 folder.

isn't this site dead to you? so why are you still here?
Too bad that Galaxy has some serious issues with counting time played...
Congrats!!!!!!!!

It's a GoG fanboy forum security guy! ;-)

It's dead to my wallet, but I've come to enjoy reading the forums. I can't seem to look away...

It's still Beta software. Issues are to be expected in this phase and should be ironed out in the full release unless it's Steam circa 2003 or Games for Windows Live then expect the full release to also be a bug ridden piece of shit.

Fanboy? is that how you address someone who asks a simple question with insults. What are you 12?

Given that you can't look away from the forums and feel the need to constantly chime in with the dumbest opinions I have seen since my kid was 5, I would say yes. And no this doesn't make me a hypocrite since you insulted me first thus giving me full license to be a asshole in kind. I am a firm believer in treating others as they treat you.

SMH... Whatever, dude. I don't see fanboy as an insult. There are plenty of things I'm a fanboy for, which I know kind of blinds you to any negatives. And there are plenty of negatives here at GoG.

I think another client was unnecessary, the increased difficulty to get games without said shitty client is annoying, the changing of the games display/sorting is horrible, the removal of box art was a poor decision, the website has plenty of issues, the PM thing was chaotic and then having all this constant PR speak is just amusingly over the top.

Regardless, this is just another website selling games on the internet. I'm sorry I don't like the things you like. Don't take it so personal.

Yup, found the option. Thanks again. :-)

I am not taking anything personal, I just don't cared to have a childish label slapped on me because I don't see things the way you do. Ever stop to think you maybe wrong on things? I'm not going to tell you how to think mind you, personally I don't give a flying fuck, just saying that there is a possibility that you are wrong and that you shouldn't go around insulting people when they question your views and call them fan boys because you know who does that type of stuff? ignorant and stupid people.
Congratulations to GOG and CD Projekt. =)

Looking forward to being part of those statistics when I've got a computer that can run it.
Drooling over it from here for the time being in between going through the games I've picked up during the Summer sale.
