One could say that GOG Galaxy is a simply stellar platform.

These past couple of days have been full of good news here at the office! First, our partners in crime CD PROJEKT RED told the world that 4 million copies of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt have been sold. Now we’re here to announce that in the first two weeks almost 700 thousand gamers worldwide have gone with GOG Galaxy as their monster-huntin’ platform - more than all other PC options combined!

Headcount: Over 693,000 gamers worldwide
Volume: Over 21.5 petabytes of game and bonus content
Achievements: 3.5 million unlocked
Combined game time: 1,770 years (that’s 646,479 full 24-hour days)

See the video below for more stats about The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on GOG.com!

popperik: Yay, let's bundle Galaxy with our games and make it super hard for the average user to avoid installing it.

But it's not impossible, so it's freedom of choice. ^^
Uhm
just start with opening your internet browser.
Then look up faq or tutorital.
Not really hard.

Grats GOG :D
Well.....my time played works, but Achievements? WTF? Why does it not work for me? Come on,guys!
@ gamesfreak64

"it has nothing you are right
wrong text... sorry

but at my defense i can say this: i dont own the game so i dont know the game cause i cant play it, but i am around long enough:
these errors or similar ones occured in many games in the past , and i been around for a while on several forum
to know what bugs are, so please dont assume i am 7 years old and whats more important dont compare me with a troll, i been mod for years in several forums and i hate trolls , so let it please be clear: i am no troll.

Finally: i have never compared anyone with anything so i am a little offended you calling me some sort of troll and or accuse me of trolling.

Beside what do you gain when continuosly complaing about bugs, it wont help solving these any sooner, so be patient please and please be carefull in naming people in fora.

Thank you."

Can you please at any point in my text point out where i ASSUMED you are 7 years old.

You are doing exactly what i said, trolling now.

You be careful naming people saying i said your 7 years old. Never did.

And i will not be patient when the game was finally working just for them to break it with v1.05 and making it basically unplayable because i cannot even combine my mutagens which i need. Not even mentioning again all the other bugs making it now unplayable. I never asked they must bring out v1.05 patch and then break more than fixing stuff. Rather test the patch properly before just bringing it out and i am a paying customer who bought this product.
I had an opinion and said it, you came on all defending and you have not even played the game. I am not the only witcher 3 customer not happy with the latest patch and expected a hotfix to fix what they broke or roll back to v1.04 until it works.

Congratulations GOG! Your Galaxy client turned me from a consumer that heard a lot of good things about GOG over the years to someone who tried it and now makes this digital storefront the first visited.
Congratulations! :D
Congratulations.

Is it me or the letters at the end of video fade away to leave "TRINE 3" ?? :) So witcher is a beginning and next blockbuster will be Trine 3 on GOG Galaxy?

Silmarisi: Galaxy works just fine on my end - I don't know why people are complaining here. Granted, downloading is a bit slow, but hey, so is my internet. I'm perfectly used to waiting for 2 hours to get down 1GB.
Same here, not sure why everyone complains. The only bug I ever had was the purchase window missing, and the workaround was too easy that I didn't even need to look around to read how others dealt with it.

I reported the bug, of course (like many other comrades did), and the next update fixed it. I remember in the past I had troubles reading news and posting comments in Galaxy, but if that was fixed in one of the patches, I didn't notice when it happened (and tbh I thought it was related to me rather than the client, thus, no report).

I play more games than the Witcher 3 in GOG Galaxy and I haven't found any other bugs that make me think it sucks. It clearly has room for improvement, but it is not as bad as a lot of comments make it appear. I'm looking forward for the future updates of Galaxy(and hopefully more games are added as well in their store), because I like it better than downloading directly from the site and GOG Downloader.

lonewolfgk: All good and well to boast about how many witcher 3 being sold and about galaxy.

What about fixing your game first (witcher 3), after v1.05 patch there are way more bugs and CTD's (crash to desktop).

You would think you would concentrate on hotfix or patch to fix the unstable full of bugs v1.05 before worrying or working on you sales figures and galaxy.

This is my opinion but witcher 3 really unstable now and i do not enjoy playing like this or playing with all the NEW bugs since the patch. Patch v1.03 and Patch 1.04 was working, did not have CTD's since they brought out those patches (had it when on patch v1.01 but solved by v1.03), now its back since v1.05 with loads of NEW bugs.

Solve that first then brag about sales and the galaxy (which i do not even want to use) program.

Regards to GOG family (all users)
I do not agree with you due to my personal experience with the game. I don't have that many hours played yet (just 60 and started playing a few days after the release of 1.04) and I still remember how many crashes I got in the game: 5 crashes; four on 1.04 and one in 1.05. So, the current version is just fine to me and it is not as bad as it is made appear. PCs use different components so things like this are inevitable and aren't easy to fix at all due to the amount of hardware choices available.

If they want to brag about their stats, they are free to do so. Regardless, it is amazing how some people think their PR department is somehow related to their bug fixing crew. So, do you think when posting an announcement they grab a programmer that was working to fix the game so he writes something about sales and GOG Galaxy usage? Do you have proof of that? Or are you proposing to CDPR than they get the PR guys from GOG and put them to fix bugs like the other programmers instead of writing announcements? Not a very clever suggestion.

Nonsense. Their company is not that small and I'm sure creating an announcement like this one has zero impact on their bug fixing quests. Unless you have inside information that validates your post, of course.

Shofixti1227: Without the cloud saves i will not use it, no point doing it.
Are cloud saves confirmed for some point in the future?

And i do NOT AGREE with you, i have had crashes and crashes with v1.01, not ONE CRASH after v1.03 and not ONE CRASH after v1.04 BUT 27 crashes so far in v1.05 and not even talking about all the NEW bugs introduced in the patch. Its funny how there are so many others saying in the GOG forums under the witcher 3 about how they have loads of crashes also now after v1.05. You have no idea what your talking about and you just wanted to troll me, thats all.
Congrats :)

Just one note, GOG team is not the same one than CD Projekt Red so Galaxy development has no impact on The Witcher one. They are part of the same mother company but are two entirely separated entities.

This means that I really don't see your point here. So, either you have no idea of what you're talking about then please inform yourself before posting angry message on a forum or, second possibility, the troll is maybe not the person who answered you (and in this case, beware of Geralt ;) ).

I'm really happy to see GOG and CDPR being very successful. However, this is bittersweet as I couldn't help thinking with this news that despite all the negative changes to the website, removal of functionality and dodgy client-pushing policies that has come with Galaxy, particularly with the account page and chat system, I can see why we never got any response to all of our concerns and feedback. GOG is moving on and seeking a new type of customer and all of us who were here at the beginning simply don't matter; not in the face of the numbers.

This type of loss is an inevitable aspect of success, i know, but as I say, it's bittersweet to watch GOG change into just another store, just another games service. I feel quite alienated around here nowadays, alas.
